Knowing is NOT the Same as DOING

inTown Square

You understand exactly what balance looks like. You have read the books, and you nod along with every piece of advice about being present with your family and protecting your health. None of it is news to you.

Yet the moment the calendar fills up and the pressure builds, all of that knowledge goes out the window and the old habits take over anyway.

This is what I call the knowing-doing gap, that frustrating space between what you know and how you actually live. In thirty years of coaching, I have learned that most people do not need more facts. They need the space to put what they already know into practice. You are not lazy or failing. You are simply caught in a rutine with no reset button. Finding that reset starts with the courage to pause.

So, here's my question for you today, where do you notice the biggest gap between what you know you should do and what you actually do?

It's true, my friend, sometimes routine traps us; it's a great challenge and takes a lot of perseverance to get out of our comfort zone and dare to break the routine.

I think the biggest gap is realizing that knowing what is right doesn’t always mean we are ready to put it into practice. Sometimes we need to stop, breathe, and give ourselves the space to actually change. This is something I can relate to. 😁
