Cooking Blog: Pork Giniling For Our Lunch

inHive Food

Hello, how are you? I've been so stressed this morning, and I am going to fry some of the lumpiang shanghai I made a few days ago for my cousin to pack for his lunch later. I saw that the kitchen situation is a mess, and I just deep-cleaned it yesterday.... haaa. I am not a confrontational person, but you're a grown person, and this is a matter of common sense. "Oh, the kitchen is messy after I cook, and oh, I will leave it to people to clean it later so that when I cook it again they will clean again and I am going to mess it up again." Who can cook but can't clean up his mess, haa.. my brother's pissing me off lately. Imagine me telling him to clean up for himself? hell no... LOL.

So yeah, I take all the frustration I feel. So it has been a while since we ate pork giniling, and these past few weeks, we ate a lot of vegetables, and I guess eating meat is okay once in a while, and it still has vegetables in it, so it is good.

Ingredients I Used:

  • Cooking Oil
  • Potatoes
  • Carrots
  • Hotdogs
  • 1/2 Kilo Ground Pork
  • Red Bell Pepper
  • Garlic
  • Red Onion
  • 1/4 tsp. Ground Pepper
  • 3 tbsp. Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp. White Vinegar
  • 1 tsp. Brown Sugar
  • All-in-one Seasoning
  • 2 cup Water

Let's Cook!

In a hot pan, I pour half a cup of cooking oil and add the potatoes and fry them until crispy.

Add the carrots next and fry them for about half a minute, and set them aside along the potatoes.

Add the hot dogs and fry them too until crispy, and set them aside.

In the same pan with reduced cooking oil, I add the ground pork and cook it until it turns brown and crispy, and it tends to oil up, so I remove most of the oil.

Add the bell pepper, garlic, and red onion, and I sauté them for about a minute.

Add about 1/4 teaspoon of ground pepper.

After that, I added 3 tablespoons of soy sauce and mixed until well combined.

Add a tablespoon of white vinegar.

Add a teaspoon of brown sugar to balance the taste.

A teaspoon of all-in-one seasoning.

Add two cups of water, and let it boil for about 5-10 minutes.

Then I add back in the potatoes, carrots, and hot dog and cook it for another 3-5 minutes.

Serve hot and plated.

It is been a while since we ate pork giniling.

Happy eating.

Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D Please take care of your mental health as well. I hope you are okay today :))
