RE: Hive Keychain Development Proposal 2026

@keychain @forkyishere I've read about efforts to "Promote HIVE/HBD listing where possible Some providers we've contacted already support Hive, while others are considering integration. These efforts aim to make Hive more accessible and globally connected. We're also examining digital and physical debit card providers to see if there's any potential for integration with Hive." HIVE is currently trading well below $0.05068. As an investor, what do you intend to do to drive the price up? It's literally time for Hive to be listed on various exchanges. On some current platforms, you can only buy it, but not trade it. It's frustrating to see thousands of 'shitcoins' listed with no real utility or value, while Hive is listed on just a few exchanges. I'd also like to know the number of users and the total number of projects and native dApps currently running on the Hive blockchain. Thank you!!!

As an investor, what do you intend to do to drive the price up?

I don't think I can explain this to you in a few words... I would need to have a very long conversation first and try to understand what you know first about Hive, otherwise, I could literally confuse you.

It's literally time for Hive to be listed on various exchanges.

Hive is listed on a lot of exchanges... check https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hive-blockchain Adding more exchanges does not necessarily help, because if there are no traders or traders don't care about trading Hive, then its a loss of time and money to list HIVE in those. Plus, centralised exchanges demand expensive fees most of the time...

You have a lot of other options too:

    • You can trade HIVE for HBD on the internal market for free (no fees) - my preferred place, to be honest.
    • You can trade via pools on Magi (a layer 2 under HIVE) now too... which has a bridge to BTC already, and soon more will come, plus it is aimed to be decentralised, non-KYC and no limits dependent. The current only interface with all the functionalities is Altera: https://altera.magi.eco
    • You can trade "pegged" HIVE or HBD and/or many other tokens via Hive Engine (another older layer 2 under HIVE). There are many interfaces for this... including Hive Keychain (PC/Desktop version) where you can trade between Hive Engine (layer 2) and Hive (layer 1).
    • Others, but probably harder to explain...

On some current platforms, you can only buy it, but not trade it. It's frustrating to see thousands of 'shitcoins' listed with no real utility or value, while Hive is listed on just a few exchanges.

Agree on the sentiment of cryptocurrencies in general. But again, I don't think we have need for more exchanges... please provide evidence of what exchanges would bring in terms of users... give an example for me to understand.

I'd also like to know the number of users and the total number of projects and native dApps currently running on the Hive blockchain.

It's very dificult to tell number of users, because of how blockchains work... in general. You have many tools that would tell you how many accounts exist and how many are active... for example, use this tool to run your own investigation: https://hivescan.info

dapps, the other day, I have asked AI to count the number of repos that have code that interacts with Hive, and AI estimated around 400-600 dapps (repos), but these are just the public repos, there are more private and others that the source code is not public yet. I have probably used +100 or so... estimated by the almost 10 years of life I have here... In my view, it's a bit irrelevant at this stage how many exist, especially now with AI vibe coding... what matters is they do "useful" things and get used by users, which given the nature of Hive, most of them are open source, and anyone can either run them, or play with them and create new ones. There are too many things around, and that can create confusion among users that don't know how to navigate quality.

Let me know what KIND of dapps you are looking for, as I don't think useful to give you just the ones I like... because you may dislike them or not be interested.

For example, all the tools I have given you here, are Hive dapps. With the exception of the CoinMarketCap website, obviously.

Hope to have helped with this comment. I am happy to continue the conversation if you have more to ask or need more details.

Hi @forkyishere , thanks for replying. I don’t know what to do to raise the price, a few years ago, I suggested not burning tokens so as to reduce their number, but I read that the idea was rejected. I think that improving social platforms like 3speak, liketu, by working on graphics, taking content from YouTube and liketu from Instagram would help. Also, bringing in companies, working with production companies, music studios, film production houses, the same goes for liketu, museums, and art galleries. This would also improve the quality, which currently discourages me from posting. I use Instagram more for graphics, content, and companies, art galleries, and museums. This would encourage users to switch to these social platforms. I’m sorry that d.buzz closed down, as there’s now Wsocial in Europe, as you’ve probably read on X, which uses the AT protocol, a “technological engine” that aims to create a decentralized social ecosystem where users are not locked into a single proprietary platform. Bluesky is currently the most famous application built on this protocol, but it’s not the only one. I do know that being listed costs a lot. I see that it is not listed on Kraken, but it is possible to buy it there, the same goes for Bitpanda, and crypto.com where you can also buy HBD. Hive keychain and hive creator should promote the few social media platforms as much as possible, at least the two mentioned above. For me, Hive is like Google, which has a browser, an operating system, mail, YouTube, and Meta, WhatsApp, and Facebook. This is what we should tell users and potential investors so that they buy Hive instead of BTC, Solana, Shiba, etc., which have no value because they have nothing. I read that Peakd had to ask for a little bit of money because of the value of Hive in order to continue their business.

I will start by saying, you might not be considering a LOT of things here... and I am going to assume (note me saying assume) you don't know all that is happening around Hive, all the apps, all the developers initiatives, all the developing at the core level, etc.

And the reason I am stating this "assumption", is because I also don't know it!

And Hive is such a large decentralized community that is very hard to say "We should do this, because that solves that". We can surely try, but I can already tell you, it will never solve things in the long term... why? because the crypto market is constantly evolving, people are constantly evolving, its a mess in terms of "when will we know the current state", to "define a clear and robust strategy" in order to raise the price (which by the way, is not a real objective for a decentralized chain per si, just a tool to attract investors).

I think you are looking to resolve a very complex problem, with very good suggestions... when the problem isn't resolvable by a single strategy. And because of all things that constantly are adapting, if you don't form the base layer of something that can survive, you can't control it anymore, and you can't define any strategies. And then, its just what it is...

Hive is people... and people change. Therefore the value of each person, also changes... So, Hive value will always change... and if one thinks that there is a magical recipe that will make Hive go to 1k USD, well... I am sorry to disapoint you, there is not.

Having that said, it does not mean it can't one day reach that... but what I am trying to say, is that even if we do ALL the "right things" (not in the sense of these are the correct ones to do, but in the sense of navigating towards the direction of accruing scarcity to the token and making it speculatively more valuable) that would exist in the world... like...

... make it deflationary instead of inflationary system... ... burn all the HBD in the HDF... ... big investor constantly doing marketing on F1, Football, basketball, racing sports, everywhere... even on rockets! ... Lots of money from a big investor for conferences around the world with free food and events... ... plugging the code into comercial businesses that now depend on Hive... ... an so on, you get the idea...

EVEN if you would do all these and more, you won't get the 1k USD miracle guaranteed...

        WHY!!!?

Because Hive is people... people change! And I can guarantee you (even if I can't really... up to you for taking my word or not) that even if you do all the above, the price would eventually go down... again.

        • Investors would like a ROI
        • Big scammers will want to attack Hive and due to how humans work, big investors would get scammed, and liquidation of large amounts would cause a lot of damages...
        • Security of the chain would be overlooked... vs monetary value or desire to make a profit.
        • High costs of running infrastructure because of scale (deflationary systems don't scale or reach high costs very soon) - hence why Hive is inflationary...
        • etc...

There are so many variables, that assuming there is a solution, is basically irrelevant and pointless.

So, what should we do? Give up?

        NO! Not me at least...

This is best experience I have ever had in my life, in terms of being at the edge of technology and people at the same time.

Hive should never be seen as "this will get me rich one day". That's BTC... lucky gambling, winning a lottery or a lucky stock purchase that 1000Xed like NVIDIA, etc...

Hive is a social experiment, run by Humans! Not by machines... 😎

I LOVE HIVE! And I understand what you are trying to say, but the right way forwards is not trying to raise the price. That's a temporary solution in my view. I am not saying we should not try, I am saying, technically that's temporary. There is way more things that need to be in place, for that to be cost effective.

The way forward is to adjust this experiment (which is already possible and done by design) until the mass expansion of its community reaches its autonomous existence - by Forky

What does that even mean? In simple words, fine tune the way Hive works so that the rate that Hive expands in terms of users and their stake is higher than the rate of users giving up or selling peanuts (at the moment).

Once that happens, Hive will be what you probably always dreamed about, and maybe even more...

That state is yet to be observed, and depends on so many things, that again, I would not wish to go through it here. Even if by now I might already regret if I have confused you with all this huge comment.

And again, to my point with all this, raising the price with hype, will be temporary... raising the price by doing marketing will be temporary... raising the price by creating scarcity will be temporary... etc...

Anyways, I am not (I can't say never because I am human, but if you discount that part, then its, never) giving up, you should not give up too if you like or identify with anything I just said, even if any part of my comments reduce your motivation.

        Hive is people!

Contribute what you can, connect with people around the world... learn how it works... use what you like, feedback or do what's in your control. Own it, by having stake on it...

I am very sentimental today... sorry. See you around!

        Forky, out.
