Nací en los años 90’s en Venezuela, en una pequeña ciudad donde nacen los Andes, Valera. Ubicada en el estado Trujillo, un estado bastante rural pero por aquellos años, lo rural no significaba atraso. A los 7 años tuve el privilegio de contar con televisión por cable y además acceso a internet unos pocos años después, lo que hizo que culturalmente desde pequeñin, me convirtiera en la oveja negra de la familia. Cuando estaba en tercer grado, recuerdo hablar con una amiga de esos años, que se llama Luzby (espero este bien escrito el nombre) y le comento que mi vídeo musical favorito del momento era “Long Hard Road Out of Hell” de Marilyn Manson, y ya desde ese momento supe, que no tenía muchas cosas en común con las personas con las que conviví en mi pequeño pueblo de Carvajal, nací en Valera, pero vivía en Carvajal. >+ I was born in the 90s in Venezuela, in Valera, a small town near the source of the Andes. Si bien mis gustos eran distintos, esto no me detuvo de hacer amistades, solo que no me sentía escuchado, más bien siempre fui bueno para escuchar y aprendí desde temprano es una habilidad importante para el desarrollo social. Estuve en un Colegio militar en Venezuela, ubicado en el estado Táchira. Así que tan pronto salí de la escuela primaria, debido a la influencia de un tio que formaba parte del ejército accedí a asistir a este internado, evidentemente la razón por la cual me estaban mandando a ese sitio, era por mis evidentes tendencias homosexuales, ya que mi tio me consiguió en más de una ocasión bailando las coreografías de “All for You” de Janet Jackson o “I’m a Slave 4 U” de Britney Spears. Solo estudié séptimo y octavo grado en el Liceo Militar Monseñor Jauregui, en La Grita. Tengo que admitir que la eduación que recibí ha sido la mejor educación que he recibido en mi vida, y más que curarme la homosexualidad, aceleró procesos, en declararme ateo, mientras cantaba en el coro religioso y darme cuenta que era gay y que los niños heteros le tenian más miedo a un homosexual abanderado, que uno que se oculta. Así que en vez de curarme la homosexualidad, me hizo asumirla con mayor poder.

>+ Although my tastes were different, this didn't stop me from making friends. It's just that I didn't feel listened to. In fact, I was always a good listener, and I learned early on that it's an important skill for social development. I attended a military school in Venezuela, located in the state of Táchira. So, as soon as I left elementary school, due to the influence of an uncle who was in the army, I agreed to attend this boarding school. So instead of curing my homosexuality, it made me embrace it with greater power.* Una vez fuera del liceo militar, vuelvo a mi estado Trujillo con mi familia, y empiezo mi noveno grado a los 13-14 años en un colegio privado, y todo siguió su curso, la vida siempre te pondrá en el camino personas con las que tengas cosas a fines y así fue. Desde pequeño sentí un refugio en la música de una manera más allá del solo escuchar, para mis las canciones tenían una esencia, una mística, donde las sentía mías, sentía desde lo más profundo de mi, como esas canciones hablaban de lo que yo no podía decir y no encontraba palabras adecuadas que reflejaran esos sentimientos que mi entorno era incapaz de entender, era solo el chiste, ya que ante algo que no conoces, te ríes. Pero siempre, la vida te ayuda con cosas que hacen que sea llevadera y recuerdes que estás en este plano, para disfrutarlo. Conocí un sitio llamado “El Rincón del Rock”. Se convirtió en mi recinto de adquisición cultural. Que genial, que estando en un pueblo alejado de la capital, lejos de ciudades grandes, unas personas decidieron montar un local, donde vendían discos piratas, pero discos completos. No esas compilaciones grabadas de radios y solo éxitos (estamos hablando año 2013-2017) Aquí adquirí discografías completas de Korn, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie, The Cure, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Soda Stereo, Depeche Mode y muchas otras bandas del momento, que no necesariamente eran populares en ese país trópical.

>+ Once I left the military high school, I returned to my home state of Trujillo with my family and started ninth grade at 13 or 14 years old at a private school. Everything followed its course. Life will always put people in your path with whom you have common ground, and that's how it was. From a young age, I felt a refuge in music, in a way that went beyond just listening. For me, songs had an essence, a mystique, where I felt them as my own. I felt from the depths of me how those songs spoke of things I couldn't say, and I couldn't find the right words to reflect those feelings that those around me couldn't understand. It was just a joke, because when faced with something you don't know, you laugh. But life always helps you with things that make it bearable and remind you that you're here, here to enjoy it. I discovered a place called "El Rincón del Rock." It became my cultural acquisition center. How cool that, being in a town far from the capital, far from big cities, some people decided to open a store where they sold pirated records, but full-length albums. Not those compilations recorded from radio stations and just hits (we're talking about the years 2013-2017). Here I acquired complete discographies of Korn, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie, The Cure, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Soda Stereo, Depeche Mode, and many other bands of the moment, who weren't necessarily popular in that tropical country.* A todas estas, a esta altura hemos alcanzado mi pre-adolescencia y ahora viéndolo en perspectiva tengo que admitir que me siento dichoso de que alguna u otra forma logré conseguir lo que me llenaba, y todavía me sigue llenando hoy día, la música. Cosa que le agradecí a mi mamá, ella me permitió escuchar esas bandas polémicas, esa gente satánica y todos esos sesgos a los que me ví sometido toda mi infancia y adolescencia, básicamente de familiares y personas que no salen de los estándares de lo socialmente aceptable. Pero un nuevo enemigo tenía rato encima y no le había dado importancia, hasta que efectivamente era imposible no ver ese monstruo rojo en cualquier aspecto de mi vida, separó hasta mi familia en dos, quienes eran rojos y quienes no, en quienes les gustaba rojo y no, y quienes eramos victimas de los rojos quienes, se reían ante el abuso de los rojos.

>+ All in all, at this point we've reached my pre-adolescence, and now looking back, I have to admit that I feel lucky that, in some way or another, I managed to find what fulfilled me, and still fulfills me today: music. Something I thanked my mom for; she allowed me to listen to those controversial bands, those satanic people, and all those biases I was subjected to throughout my childhood and adolescence, mainly from family members and people who didn't conform to the standards of what was socially acceptable. But a new enemy had been looming for a while, and I hadn't given it any importance until it was effectively impossible not to see that red monster in every aspect of my life. It even divided my family into two: those who were red and those who weren't, those who liked red and those who didn't, and those of us who were victims of the reds, those who laughed at the reds' abuse.* Nombro esto sin nombres, porque para quienes vivimos en Venezuela es bastante evidente porque muchos ya no tenemos permitido vivir en nuestra tierra natal, y vi esto en mi adolescencia, cuando terminó la secundaria en el 2007, parto de Carvajal/Valera en el estado Trujillo, para dirigirme a la capital musical de Venezuela, la ciudad de Barquisimeto en el estado Lara. Empecé mi vida universitaria y con eso, vino lo mejor que le pasa a la vida de cualquier persona, ser libre de conocer a personas que piensan como tú, quienes no piensan como tu, y descubrir que te molesta de verdad, que te gusta, que te apasiona y que te frena. Los primeros besos con hombres, conocer personas por gustos en vez de círculos, crear tus propios círculos. Entre acá en el mundo gamer, cosplayer, gay y político.

>+ I mention this without names because for those of us who live in Venezuela, it's quite obvious, since many of us are no longer allowed to live in our homeland. I saw this in my adolescence, when I finished high school in 2017, leaving Carvajal/Valera in Trujillo state to head to the musical capital of Venezuela, the city of Barquisimeto in Lara state. I began my university life, and with that came the best thing that can happen to anyone's life: being free to meet people who think like you, those who don't, and discovering what truly bothers you, what you like, what you're passionate about, and what holds you back. The first kisses with men, meeting people based on interests instead of circles, creating your own circles. I entered the gamer, cosplayer, gay, and political world here.* Empecemos con el mundo Gamer, pues entre a la Universidad Experimental Politécnica (UNEXPO) o mejor conocido como el Poli, Caney de Química, tour salvajes por la biblioteca, excursiones nocturnas bajo los efectos de la mariguana a la laguna, apariciones de fantasmas, vómitos, escondidas y amantes, resumen de la vida universitaria, estudios opcionales. Cerca de la universidad está un centro comercial y en ese centro comercial, existía y creo que todavía un local de maquinitas (arcades) y conocí la Dance Dance Revolution, y Ka-boom emocional, para mi fue un vicio que me entro directo a la vena. Me gustó tanto que organice el torneo nacional, con una de las participaciones más altas en el país, aunque el torneo fue en la Pump It Up y no en la Dance Dance Revolution. Podemos hablar acerca de esto luego, ya que es una comunidad con muchos momentos geniales, bonitos y por sobre todo, polémicos.

>+ Let's start with the gaming world. I entered the Universidad Experimental Politécnica (UNEXPO), better known as El Poli (Polytechnic University), Chemistry Caney, wild library tours, marijuana-fueled nighttime excursions to the lagoon, ghost apparitions, vomiting, hide-and-seek, and lovers, a summary of university life, and optional studies. Near the university is a shopping mall, and in that mall, there used to be, and I believe there still is, an arcade, and I discovered Dance Dance Revolution and Emotional Ka-boom. For me, it was an addiction that got me straight into my veins. I liked it so much that I organized the national tournament, with one of the highest participation rates in the country, although the tournament was at Pump It Up and not Dance Dance Revolution. We can talk about this later, as it's a community with many great, beautiful, and, above all, controversial moments.* Hablando de polémica, la Pump It Up, que es la respuesta coreana a la Dance Dance Revolution japonesa, gracias a esta arcade pues iba a los centros comerciales a jugar y conocí muchas personas, entre las personas que conocí entraron lo que se conoce hoy día como FNP. Ser homosexual en Venezuela es dificil, ya que es una vida donde tienes que callar muchas cosas y cuando uno calla cosas, se acumulan energias en ti, que te hacen sentir distinto, y más que te hacen sentir distinto, es que la sociedad hace sentir a quienes son distintos como si fueran algo que hay que corregir, en vez de dejar a las personas ser, mientras no afecten a la vida de los demás, lo cierto es que luego, de solo tener amigos heteros y pocos gays al rededor, conocí a mi familia elegida, FNP. Estos serán posts a futuro que los dejarán helados, asombrados, asustados y orgullosos. Pero resumiendo son mis familia gay con quienes viví por varios años en Barquisimeto y en donde, pude ser yo libremente por primera vez en mi vida.

>+ Speaking of controversy, Pump It Up, which is Korea's answer to the Japanese Dance Dance Revolution, thanks to this arcade I went to shopping malls to play and met many people, among the people I met were those known today as FNP. Being gay in Venezuela is difficult, since it is a life where you have to keep quiet about many things and when you keep quiet, energies accumulate in you, which make you feel different, and more than making you feel different, it's that society makes those who are different feel as if they were something that needs to be corrected, instead of letting people be, as long as they don't affect the lives of others. Ya que eran unas elecciones parlamentarias había que votar por partidos políticos, entonces decidí hacer las investigaciones necesarias para no desperdiciar mi voto, para mi era importante votar por un partido que defendiera lo que yo consideraba había que defender y era esa Venezuela de mi juventud, donde acceder a la información, la comida y los servicios, no era un privilegio, era una realidad tangible. Mientras la mayoría votó por aquellos partidos con bastante capital y se entregaron ante la propaganda mediática, me fui por quienes consideré ideológicamente estaban alienados a mi pensamiento, Acción Democrática. Eso no es todo, luego de esas elecciones sentí que mis palabras no se podían quedar solamente en el aire, así que un día decidí preguntar por Twitter, en una tertulia blanca, donde quedaba la casa del partido en Barquisimeto, y así llegué solito a La Pochocha y me inscribí en AD, me convertí en ADeco hasta que me fui de Venezuela, otro lugar donde hice amigos y familia, que aunque peleados ahora, saben que fui fiel y contribuí con toda mi honestidad, cariño y alma. -Un día les cantaré el himno, porque si… Acción Democrática tiene hasta himno.-

>+ Meanwhile, my family was in Valera/Carvajal, and I went alone to Barquisimeto. Venezuela, in those years, was engulfed in a social and media war that consumed and involved us all, to a greater or lesser extent. I, to a greater extent, since my first election, in which I was able to vote, was the 2010 parliamentary elections. Since they were parliamentary elections, I had to vote for political parties, so I decided to do the necessary research so as not to waste my vote. Acción Democrática even has an anthem."* Ya cubiertos tres de los cuatro aspectos que nombre ya atrás, nos quedaría la faceta cosplay, que va directamente alineada con mi familia gay o mejor dicho FNP, ya que ellos eran cosplayers y si bien nos unió la homosexualidad y el Pump It Up, lo que cimentó la relación fue nuestra afición al anime, Neon Genesis Evangelion, AIKA, Serial Experiments Lain, Those Who Hunts Elves, Nightwalker, Cyber Marioneta y muchos otros dignos de nombrar, fueron simples conexiones que me brindaron nuevamente la entrada a un mundo que quería encontrar, que tenia l fascinacion y el entregue y justo ahí, en la palma de la mano, tuvimos un peak hasta que reunirnos juntos a ver anime, fue una temporada de la cual me siento dichoso de haber formado parte y muy feliz de haber disfrutado como pude disfrutarlo a pesar de todo lo que sucedia en el país, logramos crear un evento de anime, llamado Dragon Guntai que se llevó con éxito en tres ediciones. Pokémon y Digimon fueron los iniciales ya que eran los dos animes predilectos dentro del grupo, y pronto tendremos más recuerdos de estos.

>+ Now that we've covered three of the four aspects I mentioned before, we have the cosplay aspect left, which is directly aligned with my gay family, or rather FNP, since they were cosplayers and although our homosexuality and Pump It Up united us, what cemented the relationship was our love of anime, Neon Genesis Evangelion, AIKA, Serial Experiments Lain, Those Who Hunts Elves, Nightwalker, Cyber Marioneta and many others worth mentioning, they were simple connections that once again gave me access to a world that I wanted to find, that had fascination and dedication and right there, in the palm of my hand, we had a peak until we got together to watch anime, it was a season that I feel lucky to have been a part of and very happy to have enjoyed as much as I could despite everything that was happening in the country, we managed to create an anime event called Dragon Guntai that was successfully held in three editions. El hambre, la inseguridad, el odio comunicacional, la guerra social contra quienes no pensábamos como los rojos, pudo contra nosotros y ante esto y para cuidar nuestra sanidad mental, decidí irme de Venezuela y vine a parar a Santiago de Chile para finales del año 2016. >+ We've talked so far about my adolescence and adulthood, and now we're entering the year 2015, which marked a turning point in Venezuela. Pero sin duda alguna, lo mejor por lejos que Chile ha podido ofrecerme es su escena musical electrónica. Nuevamente conocer personas es una de las bendiciones que tenemos como seres humanos, porque así llegamos a compartir cosas en común y generar y crear comunidad, en este caso, en una fiesta de cumpleaños conocí a un amigo, actualmente DJ llamado Sol, venezolano y se entabló un vínculo, que a pesar de las cosas que pasan en la vida, se ha mostrado sólido y todavía persiste, un día nos juntamos y puse música, hasta que sonó un tema de techno muy oscuro, y Sol me invita a ir a una fiesta donde me dice “sonará esto y mejor” - Accedí a su cita y fuimos a una fiesta, que ya en la actualidad no existe, llamada “La Purga” - Fue en un estacionamiento subterráneo en un edificio en construcción en semana santa, y al entrar, la música era un techno mega-oscuro, con performances de alto impacto, pero quién brilló y me hizo sentir que conseguí mi nuevo nicho, una performer llamada, Catarsis quien estaba con una corona de espinas haciendo su mejor interpretación de Jesus en la cruz, en una pasarela en medio de las personas y los DJs ni siquiera estaban a la vista. Ya luego de ese día no hubo vuelta atrás, y debido a mis talentos en la pista de baile, entre dentro de un círculo bien exclusivo y talentoso de artistas de los cuales, más que amigo ahora quiero ser considerado un colega, ya tomé mi nombre artistico y luego de años, he decidido lanzarme al duelo, con mi conexión más estable y universal, la música.

>+ Chile has been a great place for me to develop as a person without experiencing the social and media war that exists in Venezuela. On the contrary, I've found a certain peace of mind and other healthier ways to survive and exist in this vast Concrete Forest. But without a doubt, the best thing Chile has ever had to offer me is its electronic music scene. Again, meeting people is one of the blessings we have as human beings, because it allows us to share things in common and generate and create community. In this case, at a birthday party I met a friend, currently a DJ named Sol, Venezuelan, and a bond was established that, despite the things that happen in life, has proven to be solid and still persists. One day we got together and I put on some music, until a very dark techno song came on. Sol invited me to a party where she said, "This will be playing and better." I agreed to the appointment and we went to a party, which no longer exists, called "The Purge." It was in an underground parking lot in a building under construction during Holy Week. They weren't even in sight. After that day, there was no turning back. Thanks to my talents on the dance floor, I joined a very exclusive and talented circle of artists. Rather than a friend, I now want to be considered a colleague. Quedan todavía muchas cosas por contar, para lo último siempre se deja lo más importante, y si bien ahora no tengo pareja, no me ha limitado a darle mi amor y cariño a una criatura hermosa, que decidí bendecir con el nombre de Lucy, aunque mi roomie del momento dijo que su nombre real es, Lucyfer, mi fiel compañía y mi ser vivo favorito, a parte de mi mamá y quien ahora me hace reir, molestar y más importante, me motiva a estar sano y pendiente para que no le falte nada y solo se dedique a molestarme y obligarme a jugar.
