Once you have felt the energy in your hands you will become aware that your body is more than flesh and bone, and that enlarged vision of you will gratify you.

Human beings are an "energy charge" connected to a larger field, which some call a Zero Point Field, from which consciousness is acquired through the activation of chi.

In the same way that the effects of meditation are being studied in scientific studies, the energy techniques that make the connection with this field possible have aroused the interest of some researchers.

One interpretation of the beneficial effect of these techniques is that, in reality, what they do is connect the individual energy field with the frequencies of a larger field, which could well be what some scientists call the Zero Point Field. Journalist Lynne McTaggart defines it as "a central organizing force that governs our bodies and the rest of the cosmos."

This view suggests that, more than a simple assembly of flesh and bones or a set of biochemical reactions, human beings are "an energetic charge" linked to that underlying major field (like a great "mesh" to which all and everything we are connected, since the vacuum does not exist).

5 exercises to activate your chi

The energy will become stronger and more concentrated if you practice these exercises daily, even if it is only five minutes. Focus on what you feel in your hands.

- The circle: put your hands in parallel, with your palms facing each other, about 20 cm apart and with your fingers slightly apart. Leave one hand steady and move the other slowly in circles. Try then with the other hand.

- The clock: place the palm of one hand facing the ceiling, with the fingers separated. Above it, about 20 cm, place the other palm and turn it clockwise. Try the other way and with the other hand.

- The sticky circle: go back to the circle, leave a steady palm and make slow circles with the other. Stop the movement and stretch out 1 or 2 cm, as if you had chewing gum between your hands and you want to take off one of them.

- The chi on the body: once you have felt the energy between your hands (like a magnet), project a palm on the face, make two circles and separate the palm of the face slowly. You will notice that something of the face takes off of her.

- Do it to another person: make circles on any area of your body. You will notice the limits of your energy field when you feel with your hands a subtle opposition to your hand, several centimeters above your body.
