People, especially young people spend many hours a day on social networks; These companies want that, we spend more time on them and thus be able to generate more revenue, they do their best to make their platform as additive as possible, one of these platforms uses a tracking method called pixel to gather information from other websites we have visited and thus know what things we like, so yes we could say that they spy on us hahaha.

Bueno dar me gusta,publicar y compartir publicaciones produce un aumento de dopamina lo cual es muy similar que se genera cuando abrazas a alguien, así que al tener esa sensación haciendo nada excepto perder el tiempo muchos pierden la motivación de conseguirlo de la manera antigua, que es saliendo y conocer personas nuevas,descubriendo cosas nuevas o creando cosas nuevas.

I'm pretty sure all of us have spent hours and hours checking social media, why are they so addictive? Well liking, posting and sharing posts produces a dopamine rush which is very similar to what is generated when you hug someone, so by having that feeling of doing nothing but wasting time many lose the motivation to get it the old fashioned way, which is by going out and meeting new people, discovering new things or creating new things.

Y la mejor forman en que lo hacemos es pintar lo mejor de cada uno,pero claro esta la mayor parte de nuestro tiempo no lucimos radiantes ni tenemos tantas aventuras, ellos también tienen problemas como tu y yo, pero en redes sociales pareciera que siempre se están divirtiendo.

I can say this from my own experience, due to the quarantine the few times I had to go out to do some errands I felt anxiety even to ask the time and communication through social networks is very simple, however communication in real life goes beyond emojis, it requires practice to have good skills to socialize with others and that others enjoy our company.

Bueno lo malgastaste en esa acción inútil, en cambio podríamos usar nuestro tiempo de manera sabia e invertirlo en algo más, lo que sea, algo que nos apasione, las ganancias que obtendremos serán mejor que nada, por ejemplo podríamos pasar 2 horas diarias dibujando, quien sabe alguien podría ofrecernos una cantidad de dinero por nuestra habilidad o si dedicamos tiempo para crear contenido en Internet, quien sabe podrías crear un ingreso pasivo que dure por años, esto sería mejor que nada.

Time is the most valuable currency that exists, we only spend it and we will not be able to get more, it makes no sense, in a few years you will ask yourself what did I do with all my time? Well you wasted it in that useless action, instead we could use our time wisely and invest it in something else, whatever it is, something we are passionate about, the profits we will get will be better than nothing, for example we could spend 2 hours a day drawing, who knows someone could offer us an amount of money for our skill or if we dedicate time to create content on the Internet, who knows you could create a passive income that lasts for years, this would be better than nothing.

Pero si te la pasas horas y horas allí inconscientemente adquiriendo todo el contenido vacio de estas deberías preguntarte ¿Esto me ayuda de alguna forma? ¿Qué beneficios obtengo? si no es así ¿Por qué seguir haciéndolo?

By this I don't mean that they are totally bad in fact I still use them from time to time, they have very useful tools such as: events, groups, messaging, job opportunities, information and entertainment. But if you spend hours and hours there unconsciously acquiring all the empty content of these you should ask yourself: does this help me in any way? what benefits do I get? if not, why do I keep on doing it?
