Visitar la ciudad de Palermo en aquel entonces no era mala idea. Todo lo contrario, se dio la cita perfecta y el día se mostraba alucinante; el turquesa del mar brillaba en sus ojos y vestía un delicado atuendo de playa muy transparente que dejaba ver su bañador negro de dos piezas. Ella lucia unas piernas largas pero al mismo tiempo atléticas, sus prácticas de tenis en el club de universitarios habían hecho un buen trabajo. Se sentó en la arena blanca de la hermosa #Modello a esperar la llamada, mientras pensaba en si había hecho lo correcto, repasaba cada línea del cuestionario de preguntas que su amiga Laura le había ayudado a estructurar el día anterior. De pronto sintió la presencia de un extraño invitado olfateando su canasta, era un peludo hermoso de color café y ojos verdes aceitunas, cariñosamente le saludó y el cachorro igual respondió a sus caricias como si fuera una antigua amiga. Él, apareció de sorpresa y le atrajo su gesto amable con pier, su perro. Ella, asegurando la canasta para así evitar que el peludo intruso alcanzara a probar los almuerzos. Continuó él- No tiene mal gusto, en eso nos parecemos. Guiñando su ojo y publicitando su dentadura perfecta. Victoria un poco nerviosa, se presentó ante los visitantes… No podía evitar sonreír como respuesta ante sus emociones y ellos a diferencia de esta, se encontraban bien controlados y seguros de estar en el lugar correcto. Pier, se echó a un lado de la toalla para disfrutar el sándwich de atún que Victoria le obsequió, minutos antes de aparecer Roger. Pronto se inició una conversación muy agradable y Roger le recordó a Victoria sus años de secundaria. No podía creerlo, cómo se habían conocido en ése tiempo; ella había creído que él jamás la reconocería por no tener ahora el sobrepeso de aquellos años donde todos se disfrutaban en la playa, eran esos tiempos unos radiantes días de sol veraniego; excepto ella que se avergonzaba de su figura. Fue increíble como Roger relataba cada momento con detalles de fechas y horas. A Victoria le era imposible no dejar de soñar con sus labios, esos que deseó con tantas ansias en donde su autoestima estaba por el piso y nunca tuvo el valor de acercarse a él ni siquiera para decir un hola; pero estaban ahí tan cerca y hablándole de quien sabe qué… hasta que él mismo detuvo su monólogo y le preguntó en qué pensaba; un poco asustada pero lanzada, casi suelta sin pensarlo mucho lo que había estado recreando su mente sin embargo los interrumpió el celular; una llamada. # ¡Diablos! Era su cita a ciegas y ella no sabía si contestar Puedes contestar la llamada, le dijo con voz sonriente Decidió disculparse y alejarse para atender al inoportuno. Mientras ocurría la conversación telefónica, Roger decidió dar un vistazo dentro de la canasta y caer en cuenta que era un almuerzo para dos donde ciertamente no habría lugar para cuatro, se aseguró de estar a la vista de Victoria y continuar su camino. Ella colgó y parecía hacerle señas que se mantuviera en el lugar y efectivamente así sucedió; la llamada era para cancelar la cita por un trágico imprevisto familiar de su amigo y a éste le era imposible llegar. # Por lo que Victoria decidió invitarlos a almorzar pero Rogers tendría un mejor plan; su casa de playa estaba muy cerca y les aguardaba. Victoria estaba muy desconcertada por todo lo que estaba sucediendo, sus planes estaban totalmente fuera de lugar, nada de lo previsto estaba ocurriendo no obstante decidió dejarse llevar por lo acontecido en tiempo real. Su madre siempre le recordaba que: hay ciertos momentos de la vida que jamás se deben cancelar, tan solo vivirlos como el destino te los obsequie… y ese parecía uno de esos, entonces decidió vivir a plenitud y darle crédito a los buenos consejos de su Madre. Durante el trayecto, Roger no hacía más que sorprenderla, era un hombre muy inteligente y gentilmente educado, su trato hacia ella era como estar soñando; varias veces se preguntó así misma si esta era una respuesta a todas sus interrogantes o simplemente estaba en un universo paralelo. Roger era 4 años mayor y aunque siempre su hermana la mantuvo al tanto de su vida, ella había tratado de olvidarlo porque siempre pensó que este guapo y perfecto hombre nunca la recordaría de aquellas vacaciones y fogatas en la playa de chicos mayores, además simplemente era la hermanita menor de una de las jovencitas del grupo y para ella obviamente la más rellena, es decir una imagen nula. Pier se apresuró al llegar y parecía estar un tanto inquieto… ¡Victoria no podía creerlo, su hermana Mía estaba esperándolos al igual que todos los invitados!; Mía había planeado todo como siempre, ella planificaba la vida de la familia y era a la que todos amaba por su encanto, belleza e inteligencia. Victoria también amaba a su hermana pero siempre se sentía avergonzada por no lograr satisfacer a muchos como lo hacía Mía. Entonces decidió dejarse llevar de nuevo y Rogers le hizo una expresión en su rostro de aprobación dando a entender que confiara en su hermana, entonces como negarse a tal expresión; ambos se unieron a la celebración. Tan pronto como pudo, él la invitó a conocer la casa, dar un pequeño recorrido mientras se confesaban uno al otro de los momentos a los cuales no se dieron oportunidad por temor a las reacciones de cada cual; en instantes ella tropezó, por supuesto era de esperarse… el caballero trató de alcanzarla pero el intento fue fallido así que ambos cayeron al piso. Un inesperado momento parecía el indicado… El boca arriba con sus ojos brillantes y ella dejó que los suyos se cerraran lentamente; fue entonces cuando Pier se acercó a lamerle la cara a la accidentada chica, dejando rastros de su saliva pegajosa por todo su rostro, ambos no pararon de reír juntos. La reunión se hizo más temprano de lo acordado y Mía se había enterado del inconveniente de la cita a ciegas porque éste también había sido otro de sus planes, por eso decidió pedir ayuda a Rogers para ir a salvar a su hermana, pero sin mucho detalle ni explicación él accedió a buscarla. Realmente Mía, no quería que su hermanita Victoria sufriera aun más debido a que para la familia ya era suficiente con haber batallado por mucho tiempo con una enfermedad terminal a la que hoy día era un milagro para Victoria, estar sana. Por otro lado, la verdad era que ese guapo y sexy pelirrojo había estado toda la noche inquietamente perturbando el rostro de Victoria, sentía sus miradas persiguiéndola durante el bufett, en la terraza y en el espejo de su rubor ahí también estaba su estupenda sonrisa, no tardó mucho al cerrar su polvera, creyó sentir el roce de su mirada tan fuerte que fuera capaz de penetrar su costado, así fue también su voz cuando paseaba por su cuello e invitaba probar el filet mignon y el vino guardado en una nevera de la cocina… Hay un beso que me debes antes de ver un amanecer para dos, dijo él y ella sintió el calor sugerente de su aliento habitando en su nuca. Quizá como toda buena historia aún no termina… pero aunque todo parecía perfecto a la mañana siguiente al despertar: Se dio cuenta que estaba sola en una habitación de la casa de sus padres, era su antigua habitación y escuchó llorar a su madre desconsolada así que decidió bajar de inmediato pero en el pasillo observó algunos familiares ya fallecidos. Todo era extraño, no estaba dormida se dijo así misma ¿Qué ocurre? Llegó a la cocina y su madre no podía oírla, trató de tocarla y acercarse pero fue imposible, sentía que se desvanecía su imagen y transparentaba su cuerpo. No podía creerlo era muy angustiante todo pero no sentía su corazón, no habían latidos y ella corría de un lado a otro. Escuchó un carro estacionarse en la casa, luego otro y así sucesivamente hasta que logró ver a sus vecinos, amigos, familiares de toda la vida para consolar a sus padres. Vio llegar a Roger con su hermana y sintió alivio creía que ya estaba solucionado todo y podían verla así que intentó hablar y no pudo, desesperada comenzó a gritar y fue aterrador porque se inició una fuerte brisa y los árboles comenzaron a mecerse y las puertas a cerrarse, los ruidos de las ventanas eran como gemidos dolorosos de inmediato todos se paralizaron y se escuchó sonar el teléfono, su hermana Mía corrió a tomar la llamada. Era el secuestrador e hizo señas mostrando que permanecieran en silencio. Mientras, del otro lado del teléfono se dejó escuchar el disparo de un rifle, el grito de Mía se dejó esparcir como una onda por toda la casa y al mismo tiempo en casa de su cita a ciegas estaba tendido el cuerpo de Victoria con una bolsa plástica en la cabeza y una fuerte soga que sujetaba su cuello, pasaba por sus manos hasta llegar a sus pies pero aun no había sangre en el piso, luego se escuchó detonar otro disparo y éste fue para el secuestrador quien decidió quitarse la vida después de haberla creído muerta. Todos quedaron enmudecidos y Victoria recobró el sentido escuchándose llorar y logrando que Roger con ayuda de los detectives ubicaran el sitio donde se encontraba después de rastrear la llamada. Dos meses después Roger se casa con Victoria y le prometió que nunca más volverá a dejarla bailar con otro en su propia casa que no fuera él. Mía, le prometió que jamás arreglaría nada a escondidas para tratar de arreglar su vida. Victoria was very puzzled by everything that was happening, her plans were totally out of place, nothing was happening as planned, however she decided to let herself be carried away by what was happening in real time. Her mother always reminded her that: there are certain moments in life that should never be cancelled, just live them as destiny gives them to you... and this seemed to be one of those, so she decided to live to the fullest and give credit to her mother's good advice. During the trip, Roger did nothing but surprise her, he was a very intelligent and gently polite man, his treatment towards her was like dreaming; several times she asked herself if this was an answer to all her questions or if she was simply in a parallel universe. Roger was 4 years older and although her sister always kept her updated on his life, she had tried to forget him because she always thought that this handsome and perfect man would never remember her from those vacations and bonfires on the beach with older boys, besides she was simply the younger sister of one of the young girls in the group and for her obviously the most plump, that is to say a null image. This story is entirely my own, inspired by the true story of a serial killer who described in 1997 on American radio how he murdered his victims, all of them female prostitutes. The killer called the radio program to talk about his murders totally "normal" with the famous announcer at that time and of great audience.
