God transmits spiritual light primarily through his inspired Word, the Bible. So by studying it and getting knowledge from God, we allow His light to come to us. Through the Scriptures, God sheds light on his purposes and teaches us to do his will, which gives us meaning in life and helps us meet our spiritual needs.
