Hace poco cumplió años una de las amigas de mi hija de este nuevo lugar donde vivimos. Esta niña la invitó a la pizzería cerca de casa a celebrar con ella. Ha sido el primer cumpleaños al que ha asistido desde que vivimos aquí y el mero hecho de recibir una invitación la he dejado extremadamente contenta.

Y aquí es donde entro yo en la historia. Mi pequeña empezó a ponerse muy ansiosa con el tema del regalo, “que vamos a comprar esto, que vamos a comprar aquello”. Para ser muy honesta, el tema de ir a una tienda a comprar algo por el simple hecho de que hay que entregar algo, que en el mundo infantil casi siempre equivale a plástico que pronto irá al contenedor de la basura y luego ya sabemos donde acabará, no me agradaba mucho.

Entonces, ya que tengo como hobby la costura, me he puesto a la labor. He buscado por internet ideas y patrones, y me he puesto a trabajar. Con los retales que tenía de otros proyectos y algodón de la farmacia le he cosido un conejo y una bolsa haciendo un juego. Mi hija le ha hecho un dibujo tamaño poster, el cual enrollado muy bonito ha ido junto con el muñeco. Un regalo con amor y cariño a la niña con la que mi pequeña es tan feliz jugando y, todas las tardes, luego de volver de cole, hacen carreras hasta que cada una llegar a su casa.

Recently one of my daughter's friends from our new city had a birthday. This girl invited her to the pizzeria near our house to celebrate with her. It was the first birthday that she has attended since we live here and the mere fact of receiving an invitation from her has left her extremely happy.

And this is where I come into the story. My little girl began to get very anxious about the gift, "we are going to buy this, we are going to buy that". To be very honest, going to a store to buy something for the simple fact that something has to be given, which in the world of children is almost always equivalent to plastic that will soon go to the garbage container, and then we already know where it will end up. I didn't like it very much.

So, since I sew as a hobby, I have set myself to work. I've searched the internet for ideas and patterns and got my hands on. With the scraps that I had from other projects and cotton from the pharmacy I have sewn a bunny and a bag as a set. My daughter made a poster-sized drawing for her, which we rolled up very nicely and gifted along with the bunny. A gift with love and affection to the girl with whom my little girl is so happy playing with. With whom every afternoon, after returning from school, they race until each one reaches their home.
