안녕하세요 @oldtaste입니다. 그리즐리 베어. 미국 브루클린에서 결성된 밴드의 네번째 정규 앨범 발매가 두어달 앞으로 다가왔습니다. 어제 Four Cypresses 라는 제목의 새로운 싱글이 발매되었네요. 전 이 밴드의 기타리스트 Danial rossen의 팬입니다. 그의 바들거리는 연주와 고질적인 축농증을 가진 듯한 보컬은 좀 더 애틋하게 다가옵니다. 세상에는 전혀 긴장한 내색없이 아주 완벽한 연주와 보컬을 들려주는 음악가들이 많지만, 저는 조금 풀어져있는 날 것의 느낌을 더 좋아합니다. 이 밴드는 바로 그런 음악을 들려줍니다.

Hi. The fourth regular album of Grizzly bear, the band which started in Brooklyn, has come a couple of months ahead. A new single titled Four Cypresses was released. I am a big fan of Danial Rossen, the guitarist. His shaking play and volcal seems to have a chronic sinusitis are fascinating. Though there are a lot of musicians who play very perfect performances and vocals without any nervousness in the world, but I like the feeling of being a bit loose, and this band gives me that kind of music.

이 곡은 새 앨범의 세번째 싱글입니다. 직전의 앨범보다 조금 더 정돈된 사운드를 들려줍니다. 전작의 다수곡이 기타 중심이었다면 이 곡은 신디사이저가 곡의 중심을 잡고 있습니다. 밴드 음악의 세계적인 추세가 아닐까 싶어요. 중심 악기가 달라졌음에도 밴드의 색은 잃지 않고 있습니다. 독특한 패턴의 드럼과 찰랑거리는 기타톤은 밴드의 데뷔작부터 지금까지 그들의 색을 일정하게 유지시켜주는 장치로 여전히 작동합니다. 이들 밴드는 버니 샌더스의 지지자로도 유명한데요. 미 대선과 함께 제작되어온 앨범이라 그 정치적인 색이 얼마나 녹아있을지도 이번 앨범에 기대되는 부분입니다.

This song is the third single of the new album. It sounds a little more organized than the previous album. Compared to most of the previous works were centered on guitars, this song is centered on the synthesizer. I wonder if this is a worldwide trend of band music. Even though the main instrument is changed, the color of the band is not lost. Unique patterned drums and gigantic guitar tones still work as devices that keep their color constant since the band's debut. The members of the band are also famous for Bernie Sanders' supporters. So I look forward to listening all the album becasue the album has been produced along with the US presidential election.
