Let me formally introduce you to the family wolves

They are both purebred Alaskan Malamutes living here at the Sunshine Coast on a mountain that overlooks the beach, by the east coast of Australia. They have been in our family now for just over 4 years and we have watched them transform from cute little puppies just trying to grow into their paws to now full grown majestic wolves

Lupa (pictured left) and Vargr (pictured right)

The male's name is Vargr derived from norse mythology (Old Norse vargr = 'wolf') and the female's name is Lupa (Latin for “she-wolf”; plural: Lupae) derived from the latin word "Canis Lupus" or female wolf.

It can be pretty hot for a malamute in Australia (being usually bred in much colder climates)

But living in the mountains and taking regular trips to the beach with their rubber chicken is what keeps them cool and happy.

Vargr

Meet Vargr, he is very well behaved with a gentle soul and sweet heart. He has a distinctive black top coat which makes for an interesting fur design. I guess you could say he's pretty cool and he knows it!

His favourite things include being a weirdo, chilling out by the pool/beach and LOTS OF FOOD!!!

Lupa

Meet Lupa! She has a lot of energy , always happy and definitely the queen of the castle. Lupa has a much lighter grey coat and has a wilder look to her features, with an athletic build and is the last one to sleep every night looking for the next adventure.

Lupa loves to dig and will have a very vocal argument with you if don"t like that! She loves to come in for morning cuddles and is always so loyal and loving.
