Es complejo hablar del amor de padres a hijos, y de hijos a padres. Entrar a la maternidad o la paternidad, es descubrir por si solo el camino a explorar, y recorrer donde al transitar encuentras aciertos y desaciertos. Ese es mi criterio. He hablado en sentido general, pero siempre existirán excepciones. Hay padres que sí tienen un hijo predilecto. Se nota en la forma como le hablan y actúan con él. También he visto que algunos no quieren a los hijos. Otros hasta los echan a fajar. No todos los padres tienen el sentido de la maternidad o la paternidad. Muchas personas alegan que a los hijos se aman, pero se aman diferente, y mencionan que poseen una empatía especial por el que no tiene a la figura paternal, o por el hijo que vive bajo el mismo techo por su carácter, y afinidad. Somos realmente seres complejos. El ser humano dice querer, pero no sabe querer. Dice amar, pero no sabe amar. Se hacen de hijos y en ocasiones no los atienden, quizás porque no fueron deseados. Surgieron del fruto del placer, y no estaban preparados para ser padres. Este tema es polémico. En mi caso particular somos dos. Mi hermano es pocos años mayor que yo. Cuando nací le decía a mi mamá que botara a esa niña fea, lógicamente estaba celoso. Él era el primogénito, y hasta ese momento todas las atenciones eran suyas, pero las cosas cambiaron. Yo pienso que el amor es el mismo para todos los hijos, pero en el camino según las circunstancia se le debe brindar más atención a uno que, a otro, pero esto es algo diferente. En mi caso específico mis padres siempre le brindaron más atención a mi hermano. Creo que la diferencia estaba en el tipo de relación que los involucraba. Mi hermano era indisciplinado, se escapaba de la escuela y no le gustaba estudiar. En el instituto donde estudiaba le decían El Tumba, siempre andaba silencioso y tramando como irse de la escuela. También su carácter era introvertido, por ello mis padres siempre estaban atentos a él y le brindaban su instinto protector. Yo al ser centrada e independiente les ofrecía más confianza, por tanto me daban riendas sueltas y andaba con total libertad. No es que no me quisieran, era que mi hermano necesitaba más de su atención. También está el carácter que cada cual posea, y la forma de expresar los sentimientos. Por ejemplo, mi madre es inexpresiva, su cariño lo expresa de otra forma, pero aun así yo la adoro y ella igual me quiere. Por ello decía que este tema posee varias aristas Hoy mi hermano es también como mi hijo. Padece Parkinson, y no logra asumir la vida con sus limitantes. Necesita de mi amparo totalmente, entonces cómo no entender a mis padres. Como madre tengo un solo hijo, al que amo mucho. Tenemos una relación fuerte y consolidada, donde somos cómplices cada uno de cada acción y momento. A su vez él posee una hermana por parte de padre, y siempre le he inculcado defender la relación, amén de los puntos de vistas que puedan tener cada cual.
