Favorite Superhero Movies:

10 - The Avengers

The first great superhero ensemble. There have been many since and I was more excited than anyone for the sequel but I feel it wasn't able to recapture the original's excitement. This movie is still a once a year event for me.

9 - Captain America Civil War

The only movie that I think topped the Avengers for an ensemble super hero cast. The introduction of Spiderman to the MCU couldn't have gone better.

8 - Guardians of the Galaxy 2

This movie was amazing and it was hard to leave it this so low on the list but I had to do it. It was almost as good as the original.

7 - Captain America Winter Soldier

The closest to a mainstream thriller that a superhero movie has come.

6 - Deadpool

Crass, brash, exciting, just plain mesmerizing. Ryan Reynolds was born to play this part. Far better utilization than his turn as the Green Lantern.

5 - Iron Man

The film that made me fall in love with super hero movies. After seeing the first Iron Man I was hooked on all things Marvel and it made me a believer that super hero movies could finally be done properly; rather than their cheesy predecessors.

4 - Guardians of the Galaxy

I knew nothing about the Guardians of the Galaxy but this movie was so good that they're now up there with Iron Man and Spiderman in terms of my favorite superheroes.

3 - The Dark Knight

Should've won best picture. Just plain amazing for a superhero movie to be so authentic. Heath Ledger's joker will never be topped.

2 - Spiderman Homecoming

I thought this was going to become my favorite all-time super hero movie and my favorite Spiderman. I loved every second of it but it still just didn't manage to get to all time favorite status. Although I think the sequel could possibly do it because I think Tom Holland was the perfect Spiderman.

1 - Spiderman 2

This still stands as my all-time favorite superhero movie. The villian was amazing. The effects, the love story between Peter and Mary-Jane was captivating and I just haven't felt all that in any other superhero movie.
