### Crónica de un dulce desliz: atrapada en el refrigerador A mis 70 años, uno pensaría que los peligros de la vida se limitan a resbalones en la ducha o confundir el nombre de tus hijas, porque vaya pelea se arma si las llamas por equivocación con el nombre que no es... Pero no, para mí la verdadera amenaza vive en mi cocina, con puertas plateadas y una luz interior que parece decir: “Ven, ven, ven”. Desde hace algunos años, unos 20 para ser más precisa, sufro con el tema del azúcar, y durante ese tiempo he tenido períodos álgidos con este tema y otros más llevaderos; en ocasiones he tenido que usar a diario el glucómetro para controlarme, pero a estas alturas del partido, ya no me tomo tan en serio las restricciones que me dio el aguafiestas de mi endocrino que me prohibió los dulces, harinas, carbohidratos y todo eso que hace que tu paladar salte de gusto. De tiempo en tiempo doy una probadita de algo dulce para saciar esa ansiedad, a fin de cuentas, un pequeñito desliz no me debería causar un grave daño. Sin embargo, mi familia se empeña en vigilarme y controlar todo lo que me llevo a la boca, se han vuelto una especie de policía alimentaria, así que para poder cometer este tipo de desliz debo planear hacerlo en un momento que nadie este por ahí vigilando. Recuerdo una madrugada en la que me escabullí hacia la nevera. Allí me esperaba uno de los postres del cumpleaños que habíamos celebrado: el “Quesillo”, ese que no me dejaron probar porque tenía leche condensada y exceso de azúcar. Abrí la puerta y lo miré, estoy convencida de que hubo reciprocidad y una conexión inmediata, el me llama a distancia y yo acudí a ese llamado, ¿Qué más podría ocurrir? … así me quedé atrapada en el refrigerador. No literalmente, por supuesto. Pero físicamente, emocionalmente y hasta espiritualmente estaba atrapada. En ese momento pensaba cosas como “una cucharadita no me hará daño”, “de seguro mi cuerpo responde y la insulina entendería este desliz”, luego me cuestionaba mi poca fuerza de voluntad, me daba terror que alguien se levantara en medio de la noche y me encontrará en aquél acto… pero aun con todos estos cuestionamientos, cedí. Una cucharada, luego otra y cuando me di cuenta, estaba haciendo cálculos mentales para justificar la tercera “Si mañana camino tres vueltas a la plaza, esto se neutraliza”, pensé. Al día siguiente, mi glucómetro me dio la noticia como quien anuncia el fin del mundo. Me sentí como protagonista de una telenovela mexicana: traicionada por mi propio paladar. Pero no me arrepiento, porque en ese instante, mientras el quesillo se derretía en mi boca y la luz del refrigerador iluminaba mi cara como si fuera una aparición divina, fui feliz.
