El día de hoy les presento una obra muy significativa en mi vida, la cual lleva el nombre de "Preludio" y es un cuadro dedicado a mi madre, mi maestra y mi artista favorita.

Today I present to you a very significant work in my life, which bears the name "Preludio" (Prelude) and is a painting dedicated to my mother, my teacher and my favorite artist.

En este cuadro quise reflejar la evocación de un recuerdo de mi infancia: ella enseñándome a dibujar. Por eso su tonalidad es ocre.

In this painting I wanted to reflect the evocation of a memory of my childhood: she taught me how to draw; that's why her tonality is ochre.

Esta fue mi primera obra realizada en un lienzo tan grande y la primera vez que utilicé oleos (fue un verdadero reto). Y tuve la dicha de participar en mi primera gran exposición y concurso: "Nueva Esparta en La Fe", la cual es la más importante de mi isla porque en ella participan importantes artistas de todo el país. Tanto así, que este cuadro estuvo en la misma sala que un cuadro de Armando Reverón (importantísimo pintor venezolano reconocido a nivel mundial).

This was my first work on such a large canvas and the first time I used oils (it was a real challenge). And I had the good fortune to participate in my first great exhibition and contest: "Nueva Esparta en La Fe" (New Sparta in Faith), which is the most important one on my island because important artists from all over the country participate in it. So much so, that this painting was in the same room as a painting by Armando Reverón (an important Venezuelan painter recognized worldwide).

Esta obra mide 90x60cm y está bien colocada en la sala de la casa de mi mamá. Utilicé oleo sobre lienzo, y tardé un mes en su realización.

This work measures 90x60cm and is well placed in the living room of my mother's house. I used oil on canvas, and it took me a month to make it.
