Buenas a todos, amigos de #Hive y #Nerday! En esta ocasión les comparto esta ilustración que realicé sobre Ganesha, uno de los dioses más conocidos y adorados del panteón hinduista. Bueno les cuento que esta Ilustración la realice para un cliente que quería una libreta personalizada con un diseño inspirado en Ganesha, me comento que Ganesha es un símbolo auspicioso y de sabiduría, Es una de las deidades más conocidas y adoradas en la India, por ser removedor de obstáculos, patrono de las artes, de las ciencias y señor de la abundancia. >Hello everyone, #Hive and #Nerday friends! On this occasion I share with you this illustration that I made about Ganesha, one of the best known and most adored gods of the Hindu pantheon. Well I tell you that this Illustration was made for a client who wanted a personalized notebook with a design inspired by Ganesha, he told me that Ganesha is an auspicious symbol of wisdom, He is one of the best known and adored deities in India, for being remover of obstacles, patron of the arts, sciences and lord of abundance. El trabajo lo realice con mucho entusiasmo porque era mi primera vez que ilustraba algo diferente a solo rostros humanos, que es lo que mejor se me da, fue un reto que me propuse a realizar y el resultado que obtuve fue satisfactorio. >I did the work with great enthusiasm because it was my first time illustrating something other than just human faces, which is what I do best, it was a challenge that I set out to do and the result I obtained was satisfactory.

En el proceso de esta ilustración no precise de realizar un boceto previo, directamente desde adobe photoshop, comencé la forma base de lo que es la cabeza del elefante, que en lugar de colocar grandes orejas quise agregarle flores en su lugar, luego procedí aplicando los colores base para luego empezar con las sombras y por último agregarle luces y un fondo con splash con tonalidades rosas pasteles queriendo representar al dicho patrono de las artes. >In the process of this illustration, I did not need to make a previous sketch, directly from adobe photoshop, I started the base form of what is the head of the elephant, which instead of placing large ears I wanted to add flowers in their place, then I proceeded to apply the base colors and then start with the shadows and finally add lights and a background with a splash with pastel pink tones wanting to represent the said patron of the arts

La ilustración de Ganesha realmente luce muy bien en la portada de la libreta, y destaca bastante por sus colores tan vivos y la buena calidad de la impresión en papel glasé. Tanto el cliente como yo quedamos encantados con el resultado! >And so was the final result once the notebook was assembled! Les contare un poco más sobre lo que representa Ganesha en la india: Hay diferentes mitos sobre su nacimiento que explican la razón por la cual tiene cabeza de elefante. Las versiones coinciden en que la cabeza de Ganesha fue cortada por su padre al poco tiempo de nacer y, al ver la desolación de su esposa, Shiva prometió sustituir la cabeza del recién nacido por la del primer ser vivo que pasara por delante de la puerta, por lo que resultó tener cabeza de elefante. La mayoría de las representaciones tienen cuatro brazos y en cada mano porta un atributo que puede ser, entre otros: una soga (para conducir a sus devotos al sendero espiritual); un hacha (para cortar las ataduras de los devotos y que esos alcancen la liberación –moksha–); un laddu (dulce hecho con harina de garbanzo, su dulce preferido y que usa para recompensar a sus devotos por sus logros espirituales); un rosario; un trozo de colmillo roto (como pluma para escribir el Mahabharata, una de las grandes epopeyas de la India que le dicta el sabio Vyasa); una mano extendida con el gesto abhaya mudra ("gesto de bendición"). Su vahana ("vehículo") es una rata, que representa los deseos mundanos, a los que Ganesha gobierna.
