Game of Thrones is an American series produced by HBO and created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. It is based on the book series of George R. R. Martin, that is called A Song of Ice and Fire, this saga counts on 5 books already released and 2 more anticipated.

Tywin Lannister

It is a character represented by Charles Dance, and is Lord of the House Lannister. Tywin was married to Joanna Lannister, with whom he had 3 childrens: Cercei, Jamie and Tyrion. He lives in Casterly Rock and is one of the richest men in Westeros, so he is a very powerful person.

Cercei Lannister

She is a character represented by Lena Headey, and is the unique daughter of Tywin Lannister and Joanna Lannister. She is the twin sister of Jamie Lannister and older sister of Tyrion Lannister, with whom she does not share a good relationship (Cercei states that her mother only died because of Tyrion, because Joanna died giving birth to her). She is a woman of royalty, who aspires to sit on the Iron Throne. In Season 1, Cercei is married to King Robert Baratheon, who is believed to have three children: Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen (who are actually the children of Jamie Lannister).

Jamie Lannister

It is a character represented by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and is son of Tywin Lannister and Joanna Lannister. He is Cercei's twin brother and Tyrion's older brother, and also the biological father of Joffrey, Myrcella and Tommen. He is a very brave person, and debuted in the series to kill Aerys II Targaryen. He is very passionate about his sister Cercei, and throughout the series we can see that fight to stay with her.

Tyrion Lannister

It is a character represented by Peter Dinklage, and is a dwarf son of Tywin Lannister and Joanna Lannister, is then brother of the twins Cercei and Jamie. Probably one of the most intelligent characters in the series, and also very kind. It helps the most disabled, because it says that it likes "broken things", just like it.

Joffrey Baratheon

It is a character represented by Jack Gleeson, and is son of Cercei Lannister and Jamie Lannister, but thought that its father is Robert Baratheon. He is a young man with very dark thoughts, and when Robert Baratheon dies, he becomes king, which brings some problems because of his mentality.

Robert Baratheon

He is a character represented by Mark Addy, and when the series begins he is the king, and is also married with Cercei. Robert is a very fun man.

In the first episodes he moves to Winterfell to invite his friend Ned Stark to be his hand. In times Robert was very in love with the sister of Ned, to Lyanna Stark.

Eddard Stark

It is a character represented by Sean Bean, better known by Ned Stark. He is Lord of the Stark House, is married to Catelyn Tully and is the father of 6 children: Robb, Sansa, Arya, Brandon, Rickon and their bastard son, Jon Snow. Lives in Winterfell, (castle in the north). He is a man who likes justice, who moves to King’s Landing when King Robert invited him to be his hand.

Catelyn Stark

It is a personage represented by Michelle Fairley, and is a woman of the House Tully, but when marrying changes its name to Catelyn Stark. She lives in Winterfell and is married to Ned Stark with whom she has 5 children: Robb, Sansa, Arya, Brandon and Rickon. Catelyn is a dedicated and very protective mother.

Robb Stark

It is a character represented by Richard Madden, and is son of Ned Stark and Catelyn Stark. When his father dies, Robb is declared the King of the North.

Sansa Stark

It is a character represented by Sophie Turner, and is also known by the Lady of Winterfell. Sansa is the first daughter of Ned and Catelyn. At the beginning of the series she is very innocent, delicate and dreamy, but with the passage of time she becomes much stronger.

Arya Stark

She is a character represented by Maisie William, and is the youngest daughter of Ned and Catelyn. Arya is very different from her sister Sansa, she was interested in war and likes to learn how to use swords. Arya is a very convinced person about what she wants.

Brandon Stark

It is a character represented by Isaac Hempstead-Wright, and is the fourth son of Ned and Catelyn. Bran becomes the Three-Eye Raven, that is, he can see everything that has already happened and what will still happen.

With this supernatural gift, he helps his family in the wars with the White Walkers.

Rickon Stark

She is a character represented by Art Parkinson, and is the youngest son of Ned and Catelyn.

Jon Snow

It is a character represented by Kit Harington, and is the bastard son of Ned Stark.

Jon was raised in Winterfell, and even if it was accepted by everyone, there were times when he felt alone, and like all bastards had to grow up faster. When his father leaves for King's Landing, he joins Night Watch, (Night Watch is made up of people who protect the wall). Jon is a very honorable person.

Daenerys Targaryen

It is a character represented by Emilia Clarke, and is also known as the Mother of Dragons. She is the daughter of Aerys II Targaryen, the Mad King, who died before she was born. Daenerys throughout the series marks the difference wherever she goes, we can see the route she takes to go to King's Landing to fight for her father's death and also to avenge her place on the Iron Throne.

Jorah Mormont

It is a character represented by Iain Glen, and is the greater supporter and more loyal adviser of Daenerys. Jorah belongs to the Mormont House, being a very honorable person.

Petyr Baelish

It is a character represented by Aidan Gillen, and is also known by Littlefinger. Baelish is also very manipulative and intelligent, and so it is the most difficult characters to understand. He was very much in love with Lady Catelyn Stark.

Theon Greyjoy

It is a character represented by Alfie Owen-Allen, and is the only living son of Balon Greyjoy, that is to say, the unique heir of House Geryjoy. Theon was created much of his life by the Stark Family in Winterfell.

Sandor Clegane

It is a character represented by Rory McCann, and is better known as The Hound. Clegane's face is burned, because his brother pressed him against a fire, leaving him like this. It's a bit of a violent character, but throughout the series it shows a little more sensitivity.

White Walkers

They are thousands of years old and are the most feared creatures ever. They are the very strong beings that kill any living being that crosses in the way of them.

MY OPINION:

Well, actually it's very difficult to start watching Game of Thrones, I also didn't like the first episodes and I gave up right away to watch. But ... a friend of mine insisted me a lot to see and I started there trying to see again, but this time I put in my head that I would see at least the first season. The feedback I have to give is: THE DIFFICULT IS TO START! From what I have heard many times, I realized that the first episodes are very complex and therefore makes your viewing very difficult, and also gives the impression that the whole series will be like this. So, I recommend everyone to see more than just 5 episodes because they almost certainly will fall in love as much as I fell in love.
