I hope you like my first publication on the design of FIRE SIMULATOR SYSTEMS, and I will be waiting for your enriching comments. -------------------- Según el Diccionario de la Real Academia Española, simular consiste en “representar algo, fingiendo o imitando lo que no es” y un simulador es aquel “aparato que reproduce el comportamiento de un sistema en determinadas condiciones, aplicado generalmente para el entrenamiento de quienes deben manejar dicho sistema”. Los límites de un simulador y la simulación en sí que este proporciona, los marca la ciencia y la tecnología disponibles, así como, la propia imaginación del ser humano que los desarrolla. >According to the Dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy, to simulate is "to represent something, pretending or imitating what it is not" and a simulator is that "device that reproduces the behavior of a system under certain conditions, generally applied for the training of those who must operate the system". The limits of a simulator and the simulation itself that it provides are set by the available science and technology, as well as by the imagination of the human being who develops them. En este sentido, es necesario comprender que la Realidad Virtual (RV), es una simulación generada por computadora, la cual, utiliza un conjunto de imágenes para crear un ambiente no real, que es utilizado para interactuar con el usuario, dicho ambiente no es estático, ya que responde a entradas de usuarios (movimientos de usuario, gestos, comandos, entre otros.), la computadora detecta dichas entradas de usuario y modifica el ambiente virtual instantáneamente. El entorno controlado que proporciona un simulador minimiza la posibilidad por parte del ejecutante de sufrir lesiones y le permiten enfrentarse a situaciones en las que de otro modo su vida correría peligro y sería inadmisible integrarlas en su adiestramiento. 1.Proyector: Es el dispositivo encargado de proyectar el ambiente virtual de la aplicación sobre una superficie perpendicular al piso (preferiblemente de color blanco). >1. 3.Computadora (Laptop ó Desktop): En ella se ejecuta la aplicación que genera el ambiente virtual, el cual es necesario para la interacción con el usuario y emitido por el proyector. Así mismo, en la computadora se realizan todos los cálculos balísticos que son necesarios para generar una trayectoria real del proyectil dentro de la aplicación, esta recibe la información de la cámara web para realizar el procesamiento, generando una imagen binaria, la cual se compone de un fondo y un punto láser detectado como un objeto, mapeando esas coordinadas obtenidas hacia el ambiente virtual. >3.Computer (Laptop or Desktop): It runs the application that generates the virtual environment, which is necessary for interaction with the user and issued by the projector.
