Afraid of the lightning and thunder, the little girl run and hide beneath the table. There was total darkness due to the blackout caused by the thunderstorm. As she cried a hand reached out and grabbed her. She felt a familiar warmth that comforted her, at last she felt safe. The trembling stopped; her heart is no longer jumping out of fear and her tears stopped from falling. She is in the safest place she could be and a voice so comforting told her "I am stronger than the thunder and lightning, you don't have to be afraid." She started to bloom like a flower, but she felt like a child again in his arms. Tears incessantly rolled down from her eyes. She asked, "why did you do it, what have I done" but he was just silent. Without a word he left and abandoned her world. She was left with nothing but happy memories, so happy that remembering it is a torment. The thunder and lightning no longer scares her, but is still making her cry. She still remember the warmth of his arms that used to comfort her. The wound is still fresh and I am literally crying while creating this. We were once happy but he choose another woman over us. It was devastating and it awaken the deep-seated sadness in my heart. > *Are we not enough? Are you ashamed of my failure because I did not finish college and I am a dropout? Are you sorry for our situation now that our businesses has been bankrupt? Are you not happy with us?* Those are just some of the questions I kept asking myself. Until now I don't understand why this has to happen. I am always tempted to ask God why he has to punish us after all that we have done to follow him and serve him, but I know questioning him is wrong. I just don't get it, why do we have to go through this pain. Now who will be there to be with my Mom as she grow old? Who will walk me down the isle on my wedding day? He will walk somebody else down the isle. He will keep somebody else safe. But I was reminded of what God said; that whatever sufferings we may have on Earth can't be compared to what he has in store for us. We just have to keep our eyes on the price. It may hurt now but it will all make sense later on. God taught me to forgive, it would take time but I know one day I have to let go of my anger.
