Ciao a tutti!
Il mi primo viaggio "fotografico" e l'esperienza più bella della mia vita l'ho vissuto in Giugno 2019. Sono partito, dopo aver prenotato il biglietto aereo solo qualche settimana prima, domenica 23 giugno 2019 con mio fratello ed un amico di famiglia Giovanni.

Hello everyone!
My first "photographic" trip and the greatest experience of was in June 2019. I left, after booking the plane ticket only a few weeks before, on Sunday 23 June 2019 with my brother and a family friend Giovanni.

Giovanni è stato più volte a Cuba, si è creato una rete di amici parecchio fitta, sarà lui ad indirizzarci e consigliarci dove andare a dormire, cosa mangiare e quali località visitare.
Siamo atterrati all'aeroporto di Holguín, sito a sud dell'isola.

Giovanni has been to Cuba several times, he has created a very dense network of friends, he will direct and advise us where to sleep, what to eat and which places to visit.
We landed at Holguín airport, located in the south of the island.

Ad aspettarci c'è un "driver" con un'automobile vecchissima, per poter abbassare i finestrini (viste le temperatura tropicali) abbiamo utilizzato un chiodo che, piegato correttamente, fungeva da "manovella". Tra risate e rumori bruschi dovuti al veicolo poco confortevole, raggiungiamo Las Tunas, capoluogo della provincia omonima "Victoria de Las Tunas".

Waiting for us is a "driver" with a very old car. To lower the window (considered the tropical temperatures) we used a nail that, properly bent, acted as a "crank".
Between laughter and sudden noises due to the uncomfortable vehicle, we reach Las Tunas, capital of the homonymous province "Victoria de Las Tunas".

Stremati dal viaggio e dal jetlag il "driver", divenuto un ottimo compagno di viaggio, ci accompagna nella nostra "Casa Particular", una tipica stanza cubana concessa in affitto dai proprietari ai turisti. La camera è di proprietà di un medico cubano che, per mezzo di Giovanni, ci ha ospitato ad una modica cifra.
Per poter mettere in affitto a turisti stanze, camere o interi appartamenti il governo effettua controlli periodici, per assicurare che siano presenti ed in buone condizioni i "comfort" indispensabili per accogliere e lasciare un buon ricordo al turista.
La maggior parte della popolazione cubana non ha un condizionatore in casa, ne possiede il rubinetto con acqua calda sanitaria.
I condizionatori sono sostituiti da ventilatori, spesso recuperati o costruiti dagli artigiani del paese e l'accesso all'acqua potabile nelle abitazioni avviene attraverso un pozzo in cui periodicamente vanno gettati dei pesciolini vivi, che ne consentono la continua purificazione. Ma questa è tutta un'altra storia. Ne realizzerò un capitolo dedicato...

Exhausted by the long journey and jetlag, the "driver", who has become an excellent travel companion, takes us to our "Casa Particular", a typical Cuban room rented by the owners to tourists. The room is owned by a Cuban doctor who, through Giovanni, hosted us cheaply.
In order to rent rooms, rooms or entire apartments to tourists, the government carries out periodic checks to ensure that the essential "comforts" are present and in good condition to welcome and leave a good memory to the tourist.
Most of the Cuban population doesn't have an air conditioner and hot water in their home .
The air conditioners are replaced by fans, often recovered or built by the town's artisans and access to drinking water in the homes takes place through a well in which live fish are periodically thrown, which allow their continuous purification. But that's a whole other story. I will make a dedicated chapter...
