# ***Manejo Monetario Físico vs. Digital***

There are many things going on in my thoughts, but one of them is to talk to you about how money or the financial model has been transforming so rapidly in recent years.

En mis pensamientos pasan muchas cosas, pero una de ellas es hablarles de cómo el dinero o el modelo financiero se ha ido transformando tan aceleradamente en estos últimos años.

I am going to talk to you in part about digital banking vs. physical banking, in this case the Venezuelan model, since it is the reality that I live daily Here in Venezuela, there was a banking network. From my point of view, speaking of a somewhat solid physical presence at the infrastructure level, I am referring more clearly to the number of national banks and branches in #Venezuela.

Les voy a hablar en parte de la banca digital vs. la banca física, en este caso del modelo venezolano, ya que es la realidad que vivo a diario aquí en Venezuela se tenía una red bancaria a mi punto de vista hablando de presencia física algo sólida a nivel de infraestructura me refiero más claramente al número de bancos nacionales y sedes en Venezuela.

I am talking about the year 2000 until, more or less, the year 2015. Users used to spend quite a few hours in the banks processing many things, bank references, account statements, credit processing, card payments, request and delivery of checkbooks, or simple withdrawals or bank deposits.

Estoy hablando del año 2000 hasta más o menos el año 2015. Los usuarios pasábamos bastantes horas en los bancos tramitando muchas cosas, referencias bancarias, estados de cuenta, tramitación de créditos, pagos de tarjetas, solicitud y entrega de chequeras o simples retiros o depósitos bancarios.

Everything that had to do with public and private banking had to go to the bank and carry a lot of physical documents, which were folders with a lot of papers.

Todo lo que tenía que ver con la banca pública y privada tenía que ir al banco y llevar muchos recaudos en físico y eso eran carpetas con muchos papeles.

I say public and private because here in Venezuela, there are Venezuelan state banks and private banks.

In Venezuela, there have been many crises, one of them was the cash crisis, another was the hyperinflation, or one thing led to the other.

En Venezuela han pasado muchas crisis, una de ella fue la crisis del efectivo circulante, otra la hiperinflación o una cosa llevo a la otra.

In those years, the Venezuelan state, through the BCV, produced or printed large amounts of bills and put them in circulation. En esos años el estado venezolano por intermedio del bcv producía o imprimía grandes cantidades de billetes y los colocaba en circulación, recuerdo que los pequeños comerciantes, supermercados, zapaterías y otros comercios llamados pequeños y medianos, enviaban el dinero en camiones blindados al banco para sus depósitos y siempre había grandes colas de los usuarios para retirar el efectivo.

In those year, the state removed several zeros from La Moneda and launched the monetary reconversion.

The Venezuelan economy was facing and still faces one of the biggest crises ever. I consider that it is the basis of the whole national decline, I will not address the causes here, but this has had a great impact on all economic and social sectors.

# # ***Digital Banking and Financial Management*** #

In this context, a series of events appeared in the national economy that evolved little by little to make financial management more bearable.

The foreign currency market appeared and was managed clandestinely until the government had to allow or legalize the free use of the dollar and other foreign currencies, of course, with a tax on their use.

These fast payments or so-called mobile payments, I think it is the tool that most helped to replace the use of cash, they are made by phone and are effective immediately.

Also, the payment by fingerprint, which is widely used in warehouses and small stores, gas stations and others, recognizes the fingerprint and debits directly to the bank.

And the most popular debit cards, which have been used for many years.

Each of the public and private banks has its own web pages, and each user with an account in a bank has a user where you can manage and process many things that previously had to go physically or personally to the bank.

Although for many procedures they still ask for some physical documents, if this continues to advance, they would save on paperwork and save both time for the bank and the user.

In short, in my opinion, the digital use of banking contributes to accelerating everything and is replacing the use of cash, which is an advance for any society.

I wanted to talk about or remember all these events for several reasons, and one of them is that I feel that this platform serves as a collective memory for the future not to repeat events, and this serves as an example for any country or someone going through these circumstances. # # ***Banca Digital y Manejo Financiero*** #

En este contexto aparece una serie de eventos en la economía nacional que fueron evolucionando poco a poco para hacer el manejo financiero más llevadero.

El mercado de divisas extranjeras apareció y se manejó de manera clandestina hasta que el gobierno tuvo que permitir o legalizar el uso libre del dólar y otras monedas extranjeras, claro, por su puesto, con un impuesto sobre su uso.

Aparecieron, e implementaron de manera agresiva herramientas digitales para el manejo del dinero, transferencias bancarias e interbancarias, también los pagos móviles rápidos.

#

Estos pagos rápidos o llamados pago móvil, creo que es la herramienta que más ayudado a sustituir el uso del efectivo, se realizan por el tel. y es efectivo inmediatamente.

También el pago por cuota huella que se usa mucho en bodegas y comercios pequeños, también estaciones de gasolina y otros, este método reconoce la huella dactilar y debita directamente al banco y las tarjetas de débito más conocidas y de uso ya hace muchos años.

Cada uno de los bancos públicos y privados tienen sus páginas web y cada usuario con cuenta en algún banco tiene un usuario donde le permite manejar y tramitar muchas cosas que antes había que ir físicamente o personalmente al banco.

Aunque para muchos trámites aún solicitan algunos recaudos físicos. Si esto continúa avanzando, se ahorrarían en papelería y se ahorraría tanto tiempo para el banco como para el usuario.

En fin, para mi apreciación, el uso digital de la banca contribuye a acelerar todo y va supliendo el uso de efectivo y eso es un avance para cualquier sociedad.

Les he querido hablar o recordar todos estos sucesos por varias razones y una de ellas es que siento que esta plataforma sirve como de memoria colectiva para a futuro no se repitan hechos y esto sirva como ejemplo para cualquier país o alguien que pase por estas circunstancias, he estado leyendo a @leofinazas y creo que es muy importante todas las publicaciones que están recibiendo y hay un banco de información muy bueno.
