In the world there are various kinds of energy, one of them is electrical energy. The source of electrical energy can be generated from non renewable and renewable resources. non renewable resources such as petroleum, coal, nuclear, natural gas, and others. Renewable resources such as wind, water, and sunlight. From various sources of energy is certainly has a positive and negative value.

A. The importance of electrical energy for humans

Electricity is very important for human civilization in the age of globalization. Since the discovery of a generator by Michael Faraday, technological developments have grown faster in various sectors such as transportation, medical devices, property, information and communications. Automatically with the rapid development of technology and an increasing number of human populations, the need for electricity is also more and more, because as we know, now almost all human activities use electricity. With increasing demand for electricity, many companies are creating new power plants to meet the demand.

B. Power Plant Resources

More and more power plants are built, of course, humans are very happy because the electricity needs can be fulfilled. However, with more and more power plants being built it will certainly add to the pollution, as most of these plants still use fossil fuels.

Based on the data in figure B.1, the sources of power plants around the world today are still dominated by fossil fuels. Fossil fuel waste is one of them is CO2 (carbon dioxide) that causes nature to be damaged by air pollution.
