Les cuento que soy un fan y apasionado a los videos juegos y la tecnología, y tengo unos buenos conocimientos en el tema de informática. Para esta ocasión, una amiga me pide ayuda con sus pc viejas y que las tiene al abandono, y le gustaría reactivarlas, advirtiéndome que tenían mas de 8 años sin encender. Para mi fue todo un reto aceptar este trabajo, por que normalmente me han llegado trabajos de respaldos, instalaciones de algunos programas o simple concejos de que equipos nuevos pueden comprar. Al llegar los equipos a la casa, le comenté a ella que tal vez algunos hardware pueden que estén dañados por el tiempo sin usar. Siguiendo de eso procedí abrir las PC y dar el primer vistazo. El primer pensamiento que se me vino a la cabeza fue, que sería un gran trabajo al que enfrentar, por el super tamaño de polvo y suciedad que se le había acumulado con el pasar del tiempo. Luego me comenta que necesitaba toda la información que estaba dentro de los discos duros porque eran documentos e imágenes de mucho aprecio para ella, con mas impulso me dice que también tenia muchos libros de medicina digitalizados y recuperarlos era prioridad ya que aun los usas para sus estudios.

Then she told me that she needed all the information that was inside the hard drives because they were documents and images of great value to her, with more impulse she told me that she also had many digitized medical books and recovering them was a priority since she still used them for her studies.

Bueno manos a la obra, al retirarse mi amiga me tome unos minutos de para observar el contenido físico del pc y reflexionar donde empezar cuales son mis pros y mis contras. Lo bueno era que son equipos de la misma generación muy compartibles en temas de memoria ram, discos duros, fuente de poder, tarjeta de wifi, y conectores de cableados por si llegara a necesitar algunos de la otra. # Ubiqué mis herramientas, hice limpieza de mi espacio para trabajar. Y sin más retraso empecé a afrontar el problema que había aceptado. Justo empezando se me va la luz en el sector donde vivo. Si soy de Venezuela así que no es de impresionarse porque sucede muy seguido sobre todo los días jueves, que puede que se vallas por unas 4 horas y como ya era tarde noche deje el trabajo para el día siguiente.

En la mañana luego de un buen café. Y desayuno arranque con la limpieza y mantenimiento de las computadoras, Procediendo a retirar todos los conjuntos de elementos físicos o materiales que constituyen una computadora. Luego que tenia todo fuera del equipo empecé con su limpieza y tomándome el tiempo necesario para dejarlos bien limpios y óptimos para sus funcionamientos. Me enfoque mucho en los electros ventiladores ya que son muy importantes por que mantienen el equipo a buena temperatura. Fueron aceitados, en cuanto al procesador le retire la pasta térmica vieja y adherida, suplantando por una nueva con su respectiva limpieza. # Ya finalizado todo el mantenimiento y limpieza del pc, comencé armar todo en su lugar para proceder al encendido luego de 8años apagadas. Para mayor sorpresa 1 equipo no me encendía, le hice prueba ala fuente de poder, y memoria RAM, tome lectura de la tarjeta madre, y fue donde me da el resultado que estaba quemada, consulte con la dueña y le comenté que podíamos repotenciar el otro pc, colocándole todo lo bueno de la mala al pc que está en buen estado. Aceptando mi consejo, rápidamente terminar de armar con 2 discos duros, para más espacio de almacenamiento, 2gb de RAM y el mejor procesador.

Accepting my advice, she quickly finished building with 2 hard disks, for more storage space, 2gb of RAM and the best processor.

Luego de un largo tiempo de buscar y ubicar los archivos para tomar respaldo de ellos, Fueron 28gb de respaldo que me tomaron unas 2horas en pegarlos a mi pendrive, Les cuento que los sistemas operativos que tenían los disco duros eran Windows XP, y este sistema operativo divide en varias particiones el disco para su instalación, así que una simple reinstalación como lo hace Windows 7 no podría hasta que hiciera un formateo y limpieza de sus particiones, dejando el discos duros como nuevo, para poder instalar el nuevo sistema y todos sus programas necesarios para una buena experiencia dentro de ella. Ya finalizado todo. Deje el pc encendido todo el día conectado a internet, para que hiciera sus actualizaciones necesarias y continuas pruebas como videos y sonidos y realizando varias actividades al mismo tiempo a ver como se comportaba el ordenador.

Seguro ya de mi trabajo entregue el equipo, una gran emoción del agradecimiento que me dio mi amiga, super contenta que volvió su computadora con un mejor rendimiento y lo mas importante que tenia sus documentos de hace años y no perdió ninguno. Una gran experiencia adquirida por ayudar a un ser querido y sentir su felicidad por tu trabajo y conocimientos para mi eso no tiene precio en la vida.
