I come to share with you our weekend in Villa Gesell. It is a city located on the Atlantic coast of Argentina, about 350km from the city of Buenos Aires. With the "End" of the pandemic and with the two doses of the vaccine, we decided to go for a walk. The trip was very quiet, we left very early to avoid traffic, we took the national route number 2, the most famous of Buenos Aires. Then we took a detour on route 63 to route 11. The national route number 11 connects the coastal cities belonging to the "Partido de la Costa". >Hola comunidad Hive! vengo a compartir con ustedes nuestro fin de semana en Villa Gesell. Es una ciudad que se encuentra en la costa atlántica Argentina, a unos 350km de la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Con el "Fin" de la pandemia y con las dos dosis de la vacuna, decidimos salir de paseo. El viaje fue muy tranquilo, salimos muy temprano para evitar el tráfico, tomamos la ruta nacional número 2, la más famosa de Buenos Aires. Luego nos desviamos por la ruta 63 hasta la ruta 11. The Acacias and Conifers (trees) were in charge of stopping the sand dunes, giving place to the construction of the city. Gesell was the cradle of Hippism in the 60s. It suffered great modifications along the time and from that naturist and vegan town, it gave way to one of the most crowded coastal cities in summer (Argentinean coast). >La entrada a Villa Gesell es como entrar a un bosque, los Pinos abundan. Las Acacias y Coníferas (árboles) fueron las encargadas de frenar las dunas de arena, dando lugar a la construcción de la ciudad. Gesell fue la cuna del Hippismo en los años 60. You should always have a soccer ball in the trunk of your car for these occasions. The sand is a very fun place to play, we spent the whole morning playing, but our hunger was increasing. It was time to recharge our batteries😜. We could not miss the asado 🤤😍🤤. >Si hay playa hay fútbol! Siempre hay que tener un balón de futbol en el baúl del auto para estas ocasiones. La arena es un terreno muy divertido para jugar, estuvimos toda la mañana jugando, pero el hambre venía aumentando. We ordered a parrillada, including different cuts of meat, chicken and offal. It also included french fries and salad. I like to pair the meat with a Malbec wine, although many use Cabernet Sauvignon for fatty meats, my favorite is the great Argentine Malbec 😍. Its fruity notes are my weakness. >Argentina es sinónimo de buena comida, las carnes y los vinos están siempre a la altura de las circunstancias. Nos pedimos una parrillada, incluye distintos cortes de carne, pollo y achuras. También incluían papas fritas y ensalada. A la carne me gusta acompañarla con un vino Malbec, aunque muchos utilicen el Cabernet Sauvignon para las carnes grasas, mi preferido es el gran Malbec argentino 😍. We came across a somewhat skilled friend, a masterless dog. It's unfortunate, but when people come on vacation, many abandon their pets. We took advantage of his company and played with him for a while. >Fuimos a caminar para transformar el asado en energía😅. Nos encontramos con un amigo un tanto habilidoso, un perro sin amo. Es lamentable, pero cuando las personas vienen de vacaciones, muchos abandonan a sus mascotas. I can spend hours in front of it, watching its movement and listening to the waves. A few hours later the sun started to go down, it was time to go back and continue eating😝, while enjoying the view but from another perspective. At this time of the year, there are still cold days, which invite you to eat all day and sleep the rest of the day. >No importa en que latitud te encuentres, el océano siempre te hipnotiza con su energía. Puedo pasar horas frente a el, observando su movimiento y escuchando el oleaje. Unas horas después el sol empezó a bajar, ya era hora de regresar y seguir comiendo😝, mientras disfrutamos la vista pero desde otra perspectiva. There are many stories of people who saw goblins and different magical creatures, I always wanted to see one, but I never make it. >Al día siguiente desayunamos antes de ir al bosque, donde siempre espero ver duendes, pero nunca aparecen 😒. (En el bosque pueden encontrase con criaturas prehistóricas😆, pero tranquilos, no muerden). - The property is gigantic, there are hundreds of hectares next to the beach, the trees stop the dunes, which thanks to the wind reach several meters high, creating very picturesque contrasts. Inside the forest there are also inhabited areas, which are more and more demanded every day. The aroma of the different species of trees, added to the sea breeze, makes the forest the most magical place in Villa Gesell. It is incredible to imagine that the whole area was a desert before being transformed into this beautiful place, which once fed the largest furniture factory in Latin America. Villa Gesell is close to other seaside towns, to which we can go walking along the beach (closer) or by the route number 11. It has a great gastronomic variety, many hotels and entertainment centers for children. It is advisable to go out of season, as it gets crowded in summer and is not enjoyed in the same way. >EL predio es gigante, son cientos de hectáreas que se encuentran junto a la playa, los arboles detienen las dunas, que gracias al viento alcanzan varios metros de altura, generando contrastes muy pintorescos. Dentro del bosque también se encuentran zonas habitadas, las cuales son cada dia más demandadas. El aroma de las distintas especies de arboles, sumado a la brisa marina hace del bosque el lugar mas mágico de Villa Gesell. Es increíble imaginar que toda la zona era un desierto antes de transformarse en este lugar hermoso, el cual en su momento alimento a la mayor fabrica de muebles de Latinoamérica. Villa Gesell se encuentra cerca de otras ciudades balnearias, a las cuales podemos ir caminando por la playa (mas próximas) o por la ruta número 11. Tiene una gran variedad gastronómica, mucha hotelería y centros de entretenimiento para los niños.
