Feliz y bendecido día a todas la familias de esta comunidad. Soy Patricia y hoy estaré realizando mi primer post compartiendo con mi familia y que mejor esta comunidad de Family & Friends para mostrarles todas las aventuras de la @familiaquijada.

Un domingo como cualquier otro, un domingo en casa sin nada que hacer de me ocurrió una idea e hice un comentario como juego y me lo tomaron muy serio. Dije muy en broma para salir y recorrer algunas playas para los lados de Mariguitar. Cabe resaltar que me ubico en Cumaná, Estado Sucre, al oriente de Venezuela. Mis hijas se tomaron ese comentario muy seriamente porque la verdad estábamos muy aburridos en casa. Así de la nada es como surgen la mayoría de nuestros paseos.

One Sunday like any other, a Sunday at home with nothing to do I came up with an idea and made a comment as a game and they took it very seriously. I said very jokingly to go out and tour some beaches for the sides of Mariguitar. It is worth mentioning that I am located in Cumaná, Sucre State, in the east of Venezuela. My daughters took that comment very seriously because we were really bored at home. That's how most of our trips come out of nowhere.

Sin pensar mucho salimos de casa rumbo a un destino desconocido y no planeado. Saliendo desde la ciudad de Cumaná hasta llegar a San Antonio del Golfo, tardamos entre 40 a 50 minutos. Nuestra primera parada fue un balneario de agua salada llamado El Borbollón de San Antonio, lo que es un chorro de aguas termales saliendo a todo hora desde la orillita del mar. Estas son aguas de azufre que emergen de bajo del mar, se encuentran aproximadamente entre los 50 y 70 grados centígrados, son aguas muy calientes. Dicen que dichas aguas tienen propiedades curativas para las dolencias del cuerpo. Ahí pasamos un agradable rato tomando el sol en el pequeño muelle que ahí se encuentra, solo estubimos 15 minutos y en ese tiempo lo que hicimos fue apreciar el paisaje y hablar de ir a visitar otro lugar que queda muy cerca, lo que tampoco estaba planeado.

Without thinking too much we left home towards an unknown and unplanned destination. Leaving from the city of Cumaná to San Antonio del Golfo, it took us 40 to 50 minutes. Our first stop was a salt water spa called El Borbollón de San Antonio, which is a jet of thermal waters coming out at all hours from the shore of the sea. These are sulfur waters that emerge from under the sea, they are approximately between 50 and 70 degrees Celsius, they are very hot waters. It is said that these waters have healing properties for the body's ailments. There we spent a pleasant time sunbathing on the small dock that is there, we were only 15 minutes and in that time what we did was to appreciate the scenery and talk about going to visit another place that is very close, which was not planned.

Salimos rumbo a Cariaco, un lindo pueblito con el que cuenta el Estado Sucre. Llegamos al maravilloso Cordón de Cariaco, un balneario de agua dulce que provee agua a algunas partes del Estado. Este es uno de los balnearios más llamativos con el cuenta Sucre. En este lugar se pueden hacer sancochos, parrillas y diferentes actividades en familia. Es muy curioso cómo llegamos hasta aquí. Mi hija mayor desde hace mucho tiempo nos comentó que quería visitar este lugar, pero por cuestiones de pandemia pensábamos que el lugar estaría algo solitario y peligroso, al llegar nos sorprendimos porque fue todo lo contrario, estaba muy poblado con personas disfrutando de lo que nos ofrece este maravilloso y rico río. Estar ahí fue muy agradable pero tenía que llegar el momento de regresar a casa.

We left for Cariaco, a pretty little town in the state of Sucre. We arrived at the wonderful Cordón de Cariaco, a fresh water spa that provides water to some parts of the state. This is one of the most attractive resorts in Sucre. In this place you can have sancochos, barbecues and different family activities. It is very curious how we got here. My eldest daughter told us a long time ago that she wanted to visit this place, but because of pandemic issues we thought that the place would be somewhat lonely and dangerous, when we arrived we were surprised because it was the opposite, it was very populated with people enjoying what this wonderful and rich river has to offer. Being there was very pleasant but it was time to go back home.

De regreso hicimos una parada en el gran y famoso malecón de San Antonio donde hicimos un recorrido disfrutando del paisaje a orillas del hermoso mar. Desde allí pudimos ver la península de Araya y el gran Golfo de Cariaco.

Hasta aquí llegó nuestra aventura porque esta vez si partimos directo a casa, cansados pero muy felices por nuestro maravilloso día algo inesperado.

On the way back we made a stop at the great and famous boardwalk of San Antonio where we made a tour enjoying the scenery by the beautiful sea. From there we could see the Araya Peninsula and the great Gulf of Cariaco.

So much for our adventure because this time we went straight home, tired but very happy for our wonderful and unexpected day.
