What is the Palm Beach Confidential?
The PBC is a monthly periodical released at 5pm EST on the third Thursday of each month that is meant to be a means to share Teeka Tiwari’s personal crypto portfolio and give general investment advice about specific coins that he likes. In this he highlights one coin that he believes is very undervalued and does a small featurette write-up on it. He highlights up to three additional coins that he is “raising the buy-up-to on,” effectively signaling a buy on those coins. It’s taken very seriously by a ton of baby boomers, and is currently $10,000/year to subscribe. New sign-ups are currently closed.

Who is Teeka Tiwari?
Effectively a professional shill. No one who is serious in the crypto-world really takes him seriously. He’s incidentally respected because he has this audience of real money who listens to him like he’s a prophet. Beyond that, I’ve heard rumors that he’s banned from traditional investing, but honestly I’ve never looked into it, so who knows?

So why do I care?
You really shouldn’t. But his calls in the PBC tend to go up by a lot in a short period of time because he’s the John McAfee of crypto magazines. Lately even his after-calls have gone up, and the weight he puts behind them causes every coin mentioned to inflate for a couple of days. I’ll be highlighting all of his major calls here.

July 2017:Ripple (XRP) was his call on 7/20/2017. Here’s the chart:

August 2017:OmiseGO (OMG) was the coin for August. It was called on the 17th. Here’s the chart:

This is a little better. It was also an interesting affair. The PBC got leaked like 10 hours early, and Palm Beach, rather than just resigning themselves to having gotten got and releasing the PBC early, instead came out and said that it was fake, and then went ahead and released the EXACT SAME PBC 10 hours later. Pretty cool to watch, and some decent returns on the coin.

September 2017:This is where things start to get interesting. GAS was the September coin, released on the 21st:

It just never went down. It was crazy. It would go up for a day, then settle, and go up for a day, and settle, for two weeks. It was an easy 2x in the first hour, and went on to be a 5x. This was the first PBC I got to participate in, and Teeka really started picking up steam after this.

October 2017:October was a good month too. It was leaked early that ZenCash (ZEN) was going to be the coin almost 2 weeks early, but that really didn’t matter. Check it out:

That volume is insane. ZEN hadn’t been doing really much of anything other than a few spikes from PBC rumors, and then Teeka waved his magic wand, and it 3x’d in about 3 hours. You can see the accumulation leading up to the PBC release from people hedging the rumors. Really awesome.

November 2017:November was a strange month for the PBC. There were so many fakes floating around at this point that they decided to delay the PBC until the 20th. I don’t know why they thought this would fix it, but whatever. Then someone DDOSed their servers which delayed the release by almost 3 hours, and new fakes were coming out calling every coin from MTL to BNB. POT got called early as well, and it turned out that it was a coin that was highlighted, but not THE coin. Let’s look at POT:

This wasn’t even the coin. Just a well-done rumor. You can see the second spike shortly after the ACTUAL PBC release. MTL has a similar chart:

Ouch. Same deal. HUGE spike, HUGE dump. A lot of people lost a lot of money. It turns out the real coin was DASH:

DASH was probably Teeka’s worst call. Firstly, it had a $4 Billion market cap. Beyond that, he had promised the coin would be under $1. Some people thought it was fake, which is why it rose slowly, but you can clearly see where the PBC was actually released. It was an easy 50% gain over a day and a half, and ended up doubling. It was hard for me to argue with that.

December 2017: Teeka didn’t have a call for December, as he broke his calls up slowly over the course of the month, and wanted to show that he was unpredictable for fakes that were coming out. He said this would be the last time he would ever do this because of the amount of negative feedback he got from his subscribers.
