Mia cara community.
Da quando sono nella community di Steemit, si è presentata spesso l’occasione di partecipare e collaborare in diversi progetti, di natura sia individuale che collettiva. Sono diverse le illustrazioni, ritratti e loghi salvati sul mio desktop nella cartella “STEEM”. In questo post vorrei, non solo ringraziare le persone coinvolte, ma anche spiegare la natura del processo creativo di questi lavori.

Since I joined the Steemit community, I have often had the opportunity to participate and collaborate in various projects, both individual and collective. There are several illustrations, portraits and logos saved on my desktop in the "STEEM" folder. In this post I would like, not only to thank the people involved, but also to explain the nature of the creative process of these works.

“L’immagine che vedete come copertina non è stata creata da uno dei migliori grafici della Disney o della Warner Bros e non è neppure frutto del lavoro della Pixar anche se non avrebbe nulla da invidiare a quei lavori e a quei talenti. Le parole di Serialfiller non potevano essere più lusinghiere e precise di così. In effetti, guardando attentamente la statuetta disegnata da Louis Manuel McManus nel 1948, la bellissima silhouette sembra quasi appartenere a quelle delle armoniose Silly Symphonies (cortometraggi animati prodotti dalla Walt Disney Productions tra il 1929 e il 1938) e, sulla scia di queste, Fantasia del 1940.
Purtoppo nelle mie ricerche non ho trovato nessun articolo a riguardo a questa mia correlazione tra l’estetica Disney e quella di McManus, è sicuramente vero affermare che, questo colosso dell’industria della fantasia e dell’immaginazione, abbia influenzato molti artisti nel corso degli anni. Anche la sottoscritta. Chi è nato nella generazione degli anni ’90, sicuramente avrà visto, almeno una volta, sugli scaffali delle edicole, vicino ai numeri di Topolino e di PK, il fumetto delle W.I.T.C.H. Un prodotto italiano, nato da quei geni di Barbara Canepa e Alessandro Barbucci, destinato a far sognare bambine e teenager di tutto il mondo. Passavo pomeriggi interi a leggere e copiare le vignette di quel fumetto. Volevo far parte non solo del magico mondo delle protagoniste, ma anche in quello dui fumettisti. Quindi trovo sorprendentemente esatto e sintetico quanto scrive il mio collega riguardo alla mia estetica grafica.

Serialfiller's words could not be more flattering and precise than that. In fact, looking carefully at the statuette designed by Louis Manuel McManus in 1948, the beautiful silhouette seems almost to belong to those of the harmonious Silly Symphonies (animated shorts produced by Walt Disney Productions between 1929 and 1938) and, in the wake of these, Fantasia of 1940.
Unfortunately in my research I have not found any article about my correlation between the Disney and McManus aesthetics, it is certainly true to say that this giant of the fantasy and imagination industry, has influenced many artists during the years. Also the undersigned. Who was born in the '90s generation, surely will have seen, at least once, on the shelves of newsstands, near the numbers of Mickey Mouse and PK, the comic book of W.I.T.C.H. An Italian product, born of those geniuses of Barbara Canepa and Alessandro Barbucci, destined to make girls and teenagers dream all over the world. I spent whole afternoons reading and copying the cartoons of that comic book. I wanted to be part not only of the magical world of the protagonists, but also in that of cartoonists. So I find it surprisingly accurate and concise as my colleague writes about my graphic aesthetics.

Dopo la prima e allegra collaborazione, Serialfiller mi propone di entrar a far parte di un nuovo progetto unico e creativo. Un contest di scrittura caratterizzata da una storia senza fine, passata da scrittore in scrittore vincitore. Mancava solo un logo che potesse racchiudere ed esprimere tutti queste caratteristiche.
Anche qui, nelle mie references rimaniamo sempre sul mondo del fantastico. Per la realizzazione del logo mi sono basata principalmente sulla scritta e sul concept del progetto: una storia senza fine.
Per questo ho scelto per la realizzazione del logo la forma del cerchio e il simbolo dell’infinito. Sono elementi formati da una sola linea, senza un vero inizio e una fine.
Al simbolo dell’infinito ho aggiunto i pittogrammi di due penne stilografiche, parallele e inverse, per precisare tramite questi elementi grafici la natura di un contest di scrittura.

After the first and cheerful collaboration, Serialfiller proposes me to become part of a new and unique creative project. A writing contest characterized by an endless story, passed from writer to winning writer. Only a logo that could enclose and express all these characteristics was missing.
Here too, in my references we always remain on the world of fantasy. For the realization of the logo I was mainly based on the writing and the concept of the project: an endless story.
This is why I chose the shape of the circle and the infinity symbol for the logo. They are elements formed by a single line, without a true beginning and an end.
At the infinity symbol I added the pictograms of two fountain pens, parallel and inverse, to specify through these graphic elements the nature of a writing contest.

In molti mi hanno sottolineato che queste silhouette sembrano quelle di due serpenti. Anche questo non è un caso.
Quale altro simbolo sferico è creato dall’incrocio di due serpenti e che fa riferimento a un testo omonimo a quello del contest?
Ovviamente, l’ Auryn!
Mi limito a dire soltanto che era il mio racconto preferito da piccola. La storia e i personaggi del racconto hanno accompagnato parte della mia infanzia.

Many have pointed out to me that these silhouettes look like those of two snakes. This is not a case, too.
What other spherical symbol is created by crossing two snakes and referring to a text of the same name as the contest?
Obviously, the Auryn!
I limit myself to saying only that it was my favorite story as a child. The story and the characters of the story have accompanied part of my childhood.

E’ assolutamente bello notare come, le passioni e le storie che coltivavamo da piccoli, spesso si ripresentano anche nel nostro presente, consigliandoci e influenzandoci ancora. Sono le nostre buone fatine che, ancor vive dentro di noi e riescono ancora a stupirci con la loro magia.

It 's absolutely nice to notice how, the passions and the stories that we cultivated as children, often recur even in our present, advising and influencing us again. They are our good fairies, who still live inside us and still be able to amaze us with their magic.
