Desde el punto de vista holistico, el individuo es un todo integrado. "Holos" significa "Todo" o "Entero". Entonces, la Salud Holística es aquella que, enfoca y engloba al ser humano como un todo, en el que por medio de sus componentes puede administrar sus recursos, para vivir de una manera saludable y feliz. Es importante que comprendamos que el ser humano es entero, el cual posee campos que lo componen en sí. Estos componentes son el Espiritual, Psíquico, Orgánico, Social y Energético, los cuales describiré a continuación. >Have you ever heard of Holism? También, es relevante resaltar que podemos apreciar los cuidados de estos campos del ser humano reflejados en la Pirámide de Maslow. Y, hago aquí una comparación, ya que este modelo es comunmente utilizado en la enfermería. En donde, en primer lugar se encuentra el componente orgánico basado en aquellas necesidades fisiológicas, ya que un cuerpo con buen estado físico, es indispensable para desarrollo de los demás campos y para hallar la armonía entre estos, destacando, la necesidad de comer, dormir, excretar, entre otras. >Taking all this into account, I can say that, in nursing, the holistic approach has great relevance, since it allows us to care for the patient in a more humanized and integral way as an individual, that is, it is not only about relieving physical discomfort, but nursing encompasses the psychic, organic, energetic, spiritual and social aspects of the human being. >It is also relevant to highlight that we can appreciate the care of these fields of the human being reflected in Maslow's Pyramid.
