Kembang Sepatu *(Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L.)* is a shrub of Malvaceae tribe originating from East Asia and is widely grown as an ornamental plant in the tropics and subtropics. Large flower, red and odorless. Flowers from various cultivars and hybrids can be either a single flower *(crown of a layer)* or a double flower *(layered crown)* that is white to yellow, orange to red or pink. In Sumatra and Malaysia, hibiscus is called a flower. This interest is defined as Malaysia's national interest. The Javanese call it the worawari flower. Flower-shaped trumpet with a diameter of about 6 cm to 20 cm. The pistillum extends outward from the base of the flower. Flowers can bloom facing up, down, or side-facing. Generally, plants are sterile and produce no fruit. Plants multiply by cuttings, transplants, and pasting. In general, plant height about 2 to 5 meters. Spherical leaves are wide or narrow oval with a pointed leaf tip. In the tropics or in greenhouses flowering plants throughout the year, while in the subtropical regions flowering from summer to autumn. This type of flower consists of 5 sheets of petals, which are protected by an extra petal *(epicalyx)*, so it looks like two layers of flower petals. Crown flower consists of 5 pieces or more if it is a hybrid. The long cylindrical pistil stalk is surrounded by an oval-shaped stalk of pollen. Seed is contained in a five-capsule-shaped fruit. Hibiscus is often used as an ornamental plant because of its beautiful flowers. Flowers are used to polish shoes in India and as floral offerings. In China, red flowers are used as food coloring agents. In Indonesia, leaves and flowers are used in a variety of traditional treatments. The dried hibiscus is also drunk as tea.
